I've got acne along the jaw line, mostly close to my ears. This always looks like raised bumps and if I squeeze them (I can't resist, gross I know) something solid and white comes out. They are usually a little tender to the touch.

This spots seem to last for a long time and they reappear in the same place, almost like the pores in the same spot keep turning into zits. I do use my cell phone a lot, so I'm wondering if my phone might contribute by collecting grime & oil?

I've been to a dermatologist...tried oral antibiotics, Retin A, 2 series of Accutane, topical antibiotics, et cetera and I still get these darn things.

Why do I keep getting them in the same spot and why are they so hard to clear up? The rest of my face is mostly clear. One doctor I saw called them "furuncles," but he was a GP not a derm. Skin experts of Y.A., any thoughts?

I am 5'9 and weight close to 200 pounds (I don't have a scale). I have been trying to lose some weight (10 pounds would be nice) by not eating a lot of unhealthy foods, but it doesn't seem to be working... So I wanted to try factoring jogging into the equation... but jogging kills me in less than 10 mins. How do you get your body use to it? I have tried walking first then slowly speeding up...

Also with school around I don't have much energy for it anymore... I'm starting to think it is a lost cause.

I've been stressing for the past three weeks, BADLY.
I started to get small headaches, but until Sunday (Sept. 2) hit, I got a huge migrane. Today is the 6th, and I still have this migraine. It runs from the top of my back to my neck, and my whole head.
I do get stiffneck often now, and my back does get stiff at some points. My whole body also gets sore sometimes.
I have taken tylenol, advil, and excedrin for migraines. Though they all haven't worked to reduce any pain whatsoever.
I am 15, I do have diabetes type 1, 5'3" and weigh 125.
What should I do, and what is there to do immediately?

Lately I've been really worried that something is wrong with me. Some nights I get 3 or 4 hours sleep and am fine, and some I seriously can't drag myself out of bed after 9 or 10. Then I'll have these weird times where I seriously can't stop laughing and everything is amusing. Like, for example, I'll start cracking up if someone says 'sock'. Then about an hour or two later, I'll be so sober and serious and mature. In the serious moods, it is literally impossible to make me laugh. During my happy half of the day, I love everyone that walks this planet, but during my serious half, I don't want to be within a mile of anyone. And these mood swings happen so suddenly... it's starting to worry me. Could it be bipolar or some other mental thing?

PS: my dad is manic depressive... if that makes a difference.

Dentist warned me this is an "iffy" endeavor. And costly. Is it worth it to save previous braces/implants from being negatively impacted after the bad molar is removed? The molar cannot be saved. I have to decide if I want to do this before they extract because the bone graft must be done at the time of the extraction...please help me decide what is best.

There is this guy that I've met recently who has ADD. He also has a very driven but quite superior kind of attitude. I wanted to have a relationship with him but he turned me down. He said I'm not up to his mental callibre. The thing is, I can see alot of inner hate in him. He feels like he has to do something or he will be a failure in life. I told him that I was worried he was going to stress himself out too much and how I don't want him to get sick. His response to that was "How weak do you think I am?" I keep my composure around him even if though I know he tells me I'm feel inferior at times with his statements like that. I don't believe I am inferior to him btw. He asks me to bring positive light into his life because I am optimistic and try to be positive. He even says that he needs me because of this and I am one of the few people that can lead him out of this darkness in his life (negativity and hatred). What do you think i should do? What do you think about this situation?

I just graduated recently and I'm noticing some things:

- I have a car, and no longer take public transportation
- I use garbage bags instead recycling grocery bags
- I drink spring water and always have tropicana in the fridge
- I've upgraded the brands of cosmetics/shampoos that I buy
- I tip at Starbucks
- I order fancy Starbucks drinks instead of just plain coffee
- I own a brand new laptop instead of a 1999 bulky PC
- I go shopping and actually buy stuff without feeling too guilty
- I actually change my wardrobe throughout the week
- I no longer have rommates
- I stopped eating fast food and I have no problem paying $30 for a meal

Can you think of any other ones?

I am fairly skinny.. about 130 pounds, or even less, and I am 17. I have no problems with my weight, just my stomach. It sticks out even when I stand up straight, and especially when I sit down it's even worse.

I walk 4 miles almost everyday home from school, I run for 30 minutes two or three times a week, and workout for about the same amount of time. Sometimes I do sit-ups, but I know those alone won't get rid of my stomach fat.

I have been doing this for about a month or two, and haven't seen ANY results. Would my diet and amount of food I eat incorporate a lot into losing my stomach fat? Because I eat a lot of small meals during the day, along with lunch and dinner. So I think that could be why, but also if I'm doing the right excercises, wouldn't that just burn off that fat anyway?

Any REAL help (not any rude or pointless comments) would be MUCH appreciated.

I had my wisdom teeth (4 of them) taken out about 3 weeks ago. I had slight discomfort in gums; first in the bottom left and then in the top right. However, the top right feels sore and hurts when I press it. It's also sore along the gumline and feels like a whole section back there is infected or something. I don't know, maybe it's not but it's located back where the upper and lower jaws connect (on my right side). So this discomfort caused me to open and close my jaw in an attempt to find out why/where the soreness came from. I even stopped wearing my retainer because of the fear that the wire that extends to my right upper area of my jaw was maybe poking the gumline, causing it to become sore. So I think somewhere along the lines, I dislocated my jaw because now it feels wierd to open my mouth since the left side, as well as the right feels out of whack. When i close my mouth, it feels out of place, and the annoying soreness still persists on my right side. So what could this be?

I'm getting a root canal in early october for my cavity.

I have a very low pain tolerance, and have had TONS of fillings, cavities, crowns and such, but the procedures are a blur to me now, I don't remember much of anything.

My dentist put in a temporary filling today, [which hurt like h*ll, as they had to rinse with VERY cold water and shove it down in there to make it stay.]

My main concern is the needles before the procedure.

Will the procedure be done in one visit, with only one set of needles?

Is there any ways to numb me without needles that is covered by common insurance?

Will I be numb enough that I wont feel the injections?
HELP.

I am a 28 yr old male. I'm not in very good shape and Im overweight. I also have had high blood pressure for about 8 yrs., 145/80 on average. I recently went to a cardiologist for palpitations.
He did a 24 hr holter monitor and seen i had on average 1 PVC per minute (1300 somethin he said) in 24 hrs.
He said that i shouldnt worry about them as long as they dont occur in groups. He also did a echocardiogram and said my right atrium was just a little large, again; he said nothing to worry about. He then did a stress test. My pulse rate got as high as 158. He said he saw a few PVC's during that but not enough to worry. So anyways, he said I should just keep taking my atenolol 50mg bid and to not worry. He said to call him if I begin to get PVC's in groups of 3 or more or have any chest pain. What do you think of this opinion, should I relax and just listen to him?
