yes. you're teeth don't get as clean because of all the hardware, especially the gums. and you'll have white spots on your teeth if you don't.

When I had braces, I did floss daily. If you ask your dentist, you'll find that flossing is actually much more important than brushing (contrary to what many people believe). Besides, food does get stuck inbetween your teeth (as you will inevitably notice when you floss), so it's just best to get it out of there and feel clean.

ABSOLUTELY! There are now even more places for food & bacteria to hide, right? Floss comes in several sizes & shapes. (flat & round) It's great because the floss bends around the contour of each tooth. Remember to rinse after each meal & if you have the $$, a water pic is good also... but you can't carry it in your purse or pocket! Whatever you choose... use it !
Also get your teeth cleaned 2 x a year. it is especially important when wearing braces.

yes you have to floss. Whats the use of having a str8 teeth when you end up having a lot of cavities in between teeth that will need root canal, fillings or crowns in the future and not to mention gum decease. which it will happen if you don't floss guaranteed 100%. we hav a saying ...floss only the teeth you want to keep.

I don't have braces, but I do wear Invisalign, so I still have brackets and baubles on my teeth.

I floss as often as possible, simply to remove food that may get caught behind or in the bracket, and I floss in places that the toothbrush doesn't reach.

It's simply good dental hygiene.

yes you do. it's harder to keep your teeth clean when you have tons of metal that food can get caught between in your mouth. flossing keeps your teeth healthy. you should floss whether or not you have braces, by the way.

Yes its vry impt tat u floss all ur teeth atleast once a day. Wearing braces, there would be more plaque retention as compared to whn u r not wearing braces. its vry impt u brush n floss ur teeth well so as to keep clean n reduce ur risk of getting gum disease or decay on ur teeth. if u r not able to take care of ur teeth during this period, ur teeth can get demineralised n there would b white spot lesions whn u remove ur braces. tis can later on develop to cavities which require fillings. all tis r gonna cost u more money n fillings r not as gud as ur real teeth. n u may even need to go for treatments such as veneers to mask the damage u hve done to ur teeth. another thing if u cant keep ur teeth clean, u can put urself at risk of developing gum disease which is also not gonna make ur teeth look gud. so whn u r wearing braces, put in tat extra effort to keep ur teeth clean n i can assure u tat u would b happy abt the end result.

BUY AND USE A WATERPIK DAILY, THIS MUCH EASIER AND BETTER THAN FLOSSING WHICH WILL MISS THE SPOTS DEEP IN THE GUMS.
REMEMBER YOU CAN'T GET FLOSS TO CONFORM TO TOOTH ANATOMY, IT OTHER WORD IT CAN'T BEND.
A WATER STREAM FROM THE WATERPIK ALWAYS GETS TO EVERY PART.

YES! More particals get caught in your teeth when you have braces. More stuff to get hung up on! Your ortho wouldn't tell you to do somthing for his own entertainment. He went to school for a reason.
