Ah, yes, I remember my wisdom teeth coming in. There's nothing like cutting teeth! Once your tooth breaks through, that part of your gum will actually be absorbed - it will shrink back until you just have a normal gumline. Do keep an eye on it, though. If it hasn't broken through your gum in a month or two, have your dentist take an x-ray to make sure it's coming in right. (Yes, sometimes it takes several weeks for the tooth to come in all the way.)

BTW, one thing that made my wisdom teeth feel better was hard candies, Life Savers in particular. I'd gnaw on them with the tooth that was coming in. (Don't do that with Jolly Ranchers, though - I found out the hard way that they stick your teeth together!) Putting a little orange or banana extract on your gums also helps - the alcohol will numb the area, and it tastes better than OraGel.

If you have wisdom teeth growing in straight, then you are experiencing the classic symptoms of teething. Putting a little Orajel will help ease the pain as well as Advil from time to time.
The pointy tooth structures called cusps are mean to break through the gums as they come in. Shortly before they break through the gums the gums will be thin, white in color and very sensitive.

Ive had this happen already... all 4 of my wisdom teeth grew out straight.

Its just a little gum tissue that is swollen because of the irritation from your 3rd molars ( wisdom teeth). the swelling will go down try eating a popsicle or using oral-gel. There are plenty of topical anesthics that you can buy from rite aid or target.

I also took some advil for the pain that seemed to help for alittle bit. Go to the dentist and have some xrays taken to make sure your 3rd molars arent impacted.

The only way to tell if your wisdom teeth will have room to come in all the way and/or come in crooked is to go to your dentist where they'll take an x-ray called a pan. It shows all of your teeth, including the wisdom teeth that may not have come through your gums yet.
Best Wishes!

Tis condition is normal whn a tooth is erupting. Jus make sure u r brushing tat area well. u definitely wouldnt want the gum in tat area to get inflammed n cause u more pain. n chances r high for u to get decay on tat wisdom tooth n the adjacent tooth if u ignore brushing tat area well.

That happens a lot. You may or may not have to have your wisdom teeth out later but your gum will go back down to normal. Happened to me.

It is very normal when there is a tooth coming in.Eventually the gums will reattach.I don't think any of it needs to be cut out.Try not to touch it.That area is prone to infections right now.

It will more than likely fall out if the tooth keeps coming out. Mine did. I guess you just end up swallowing it in your sleep or when you eat.
