With the long evenings and plenty of BBQs, I tend to get bitten a lot. Mosquito sprays don't seem to work...are there any other ways of avoiding bites and treating them when they occur? Antihistamines are one option, but I'm interested in natural remedies too please.

Please help me, I suspect that my wife fooled me when she told me that she was more than 2 weeks pregnant and had a miscarriage before we got married. She told me that she was pregnant April 2006 and claims she had a miscarriage 2 weeks after. We got married October 2006. Is there any alternative aside from a D&C (dilation & curettage/completion curettage)?

On sunday/Monday, my mom cooked kinda spicy fish, (its my favorite food, i eat fish all the time!) and it tasted great, but then i noticed when i went toilet (number 1), it smellt like the fish my mom cooked. So i had a bath and washed my areas, and for about 20 mins i didnt smell anything, but then after then smell came back. It has never happend to me befor and its starting to get me down because im starting to think people around me smell it too. Even my sister smelt it when i was laying down. Sould i see a doctor, or when the fish has digested the smell wil fade?

It's my birthday tomorrow. I got a friend of mine really drunk on his birthday two weeks ago (a bit childish I know) and now he is plotting revenge tomorrow night and I will be the spectacle! Does anyone know what I should eat before the night begins and any tricks (foods, teas whatever!) that will slow down the absorption of alcohol into my bloodstream? I am a small guy and cannot drink a lot! Please don't reply with 'why not don't drink at all?' because it is not an option unfortunately!

i REALLY dont want to get Circumsized, so i am trying my best to avoid it... at the moment i went to a doctor about my foreskin problem, first they snipped off a small piece of skin similar to the piece of skin under your tounge, it improved a LOT like i can retract it now when its NOT erect. But like 3 days after they snipped that out, i was trying to retract my skin while it was erect, i could Only get it half way past the head... i went back to the doctor, and he gave me a cream to apply twice a day, he said it should help loosen the skin, so i did for about 2 weeks now, and i can retract the skin past my head when erect, BUT its REAL tight and i have to almost force it down, its been like this now although i have been applying the cream a lot, should the last little bit of loosening take a longer time? or is this as loose as it can get? do i have no option but to get circumsized or just keep trying witht he cream till it gets loose, the cream is called Triamcinolone Acetonide Cream

i'm 15 years old and my 14 year old cousin died in his sleep about 8 months ago. About 3 months after his death, i began having some symthoms which indicated sudden arythmic death syndrome (which killed my cousin) I went to the ER and they did a lousy ECG on my and everything tourned out normal. I started having the same symthoms about a month later and the doctor told me that it was just a digestion problem and i had nothing to worry about (he was ignoring most of my symthoms) Now i'm begining to have the symthoms and i feel like nobody is listening to my problems (not even my parents) I fear that i may carry the same gene that my cousin once carried. What is the chance of me carring the same gene? Please help!

the one that works best for me is dovobet, they say dont use it for long periods but i have been useing it for several years, using it three or four times a week. the best thing is the cream doesnt stain. i have been able to wear short sleeved shirts for a few years now and also go swiming. i would like to know why they say dont use it, apart from thining the skin what else is it supposed to do. my doctor never told me only to use for a short period of time, but then again like what a few people have mentioned, they don't seem to want to know.

I have a bad problem with staying up till 3-4am in the morning and sometimes later...Then I want to sleep till 11 or 12 the next day. How can I break this cycle? I hate being this way. I have been doing this for about two years now. Luckily, I have the luxury of not having to work. My husband takes good care of me, and doesn't really want me to work, (which is fine by me!!). I dont have any children, it is just me here all day. So I usually sleep in until he gets home for lunch. How can I get over this problem?? I would love to start getting up at around 6am and going to bed around 9 or 10...Does anyone else have this problem? I stay up either watching tv or playing on the computer...It's not like I am staying up to do something important. I just avoid going to bed. I have tried taking tylenol pm, and stuff to make me sleepy. I will get tired as hell, but fight my sleep cause I dont want to go to bed. HELP!!

in the past four years, i have only "sunbathed" twice, each time resulting in a terribly painful, red, and blistering sunburn. my skin is naturally very pale, but i rarely spend large quantities of time in the sun, during which i NEVER tan. is it possible from only two bad sunburns, and at my age (22), that i have developed skin cancer?

this is starting to get frustrating.....ive been w/ my bf for awhile now. We have still yet to go down on each other. All we do is just have sex. I told him i need more foreplay...because i cant get off just having intercourse..and he says he will try..hes just not that big on it. when i got my tempurpedic bed it was nice and hard. and then my idiot friends started abusing it and one of them jumped on it twice. after a few months/about a year it got REALLY soft and now i can barely sleep on it. im paranoid. are tempurpedics supposed to soften a lot over time or is it because my friend jumped on it twice when i 1st bought it?

My sister is 62 yrs. old , she has Diabetis, High Blood Pressure, Parkinsons, obesity and 2 mos. ago she suffered a Hairline Fracture to her left knee. Prior to this she had a Masectomy in 97. She has been in remission since then but has had chemo/radiation and is down to chemo once per month. It turns out she has Sleep Apnea and is given breathing treatments. Her lungs are small, stiff and scared. Xrays were taken one week ago only to find fluid in her lungs. It is blood/clots. A tubing the size of a cathether was inserted into her left lung and has been draining blood over 400 cc per day. She's down to 300cc per day. An Antibiotic was injected 2 times into the tubing to go into the lung which was very painful. It's to heal the lung and hopefully stop the bleeding. A white fluid was coming out when they took off the clamp but the bleeding/clots returned. The Dr. wants to give her a 3rd treatment. She has Stage 4 cancer. How bad is this? What are her chances of survival?
