in the past four years, i have only "sunbathed" twice, each time resulting in a terribly painful, red, and blistering sunburn. my skin is naturally very pale, but i rarely spend large quantities of time in the sun, during which i NEVER tan. is it possible from only two bad sunburns, and at my age (22), that i have developed skin cancer?

Just go get it checked out under the rays the doctors use to show how much damage has been done.

burning is something to b concern about but i doubt u have skin cancer. the main skin cancer is melanoma (sp) those r the mold/brown spots on u'r body. If u c one that is several colors of brown or ?able.. then u need to c a Dermotologist. I had 3 mohls removed & they were NOT cancerous. so it's better to have someone ck them out to b sure.

Jst b careful & wear suntain lotion of a high SPF to protect u'r self... u should b fine

Yes. You have the worst skin type for sun damage. Melanomas are felt to be caused by one or two bad sunburns while young and can affect any age.
A dermatologist can put your mind at ease after an exam.

When you ask about your chances you are gambling with your health. You should see a dermatologist once a year for a head to toe examination. No mater your chances; you need to know the facts.

Risk factors are associations of cause and effect. But your reality is unique. Check it out!!!!

Why on earth do you think you have skin cancer????

Trust me, if you had cancer, you'd know. Especially if it was on your skin!

If you have concerns about it talk to a dermatologist.
