It's called a migraine, honey. And there is nothing you can do but try to rest through it. And they are definitely stress-related.

I'm sorry! They are NASTY things.

If you get one again, though, stronger painkillers than aspirin will take the edge off (it won't go away though!) as long as you take them STRAIGHT AWAY you feel it coming on. That's just in case you're sick though, you can take them any time but they might make you throw up. You've already taken aspririn, so this is safe to do: take 2 paracetamol and one 400mg tablet of ibuprofen together. Make sure none of these tablets is actually a mixture of ingredients (not Anadin, for example, which usually has aspirin and paracetamol together). If you do take the ibuprofen try to have some food as well (it's not good on an empty stomach as it irritates the stomach lining) or at the very least a glass of milk.

EDIT: If its so bad you can't sleep you should wake your mom and ask her to find you some painkillers - she won't mind!! I had migraines much more at your age than I do now. My mom used to give me a half-dose of those effervescent co-codamol tablets, you dissolve them in water and because they're liquid they get absorbed much quicker. They taste nasty but she used to mix it with a little orange juice for me, then it was just like a fizzy orangeade. You still might not be able to sleep, though, but you're much better off resting than looking at a computer screen. I found that if I stayed lying completely motionless for long enough, the pain was manageable. Any slight movement though would trigger an incredible thumping pain that was like being whacked upside the head... Which meant I couldn't even turn over when I got uncomfortable, because the pain was just too much to bear!

I know it's not what you want to hear, but there really is NO do-this-and-it-will-go-away answer! You just have to wait it out. And it WILL subside!

Sounds like you have a migraine, there are over the counter medication that is for migraines that you could try. Keep the room you are in somewhat dark and try to relax and try not to think about the party it will only make the headache worse. Also if you stretch your fingers apart and between your index finger and thumb gently massage that area and see if you find a knot, if you do then apply alittle pressure and keep massaging it until the knot eases up or goes away. Do this on each hand, this is the pressure point for headaches and massaging the knot will start easing your headache.

Jeez I know what it must feel like, I dont get headaches I get migranes and they hurt so much, I cry every single time, no joke.

What you do is swallow two pills of headache reliever, like tylenol. Drink cold water, I know it might hurt when you do, but it will help alot later. If you can take a nice bath, not hot because the pain stimulie for the heat can agrivate your head.
I recommend a chill bath, your body is cold, freezes your nervous system (not really, but slows it down) calms down your head. Then go to sleep in a cool room. Also whatever you do dont move your head when your sleeping, even if it hurts just lie there and it will go away, evenutally you will fall asleep and the next day your fine.

Ive tried this alot of times, it dosnt make the migrain any less horrible but it makes it alot more bearable, try it, youll thank me later.

Sounds like a migraine, and if it is, then girly you are brave for looking at the computer light!

Lay in a dark room, make sure its very quiet. Keep your head cool. DO NOT TAKE ASPIRIN if it is a migraine. Aspirin can make migraines worse. Sometimes, caffeine helps, but if you are nauseaous, that is tough to get down.

It will pass, but it hurts like h**l, so get to the dark cool place fast and stay there until the pain passes. If this continues to happen you may need to change birth control (if that is applicable) or see a doc for some meds to help with migraines.

We have treated 15 - 20 yrs cases.
There is no medicine for H/A OR MIGRAINE. Not only these but for almost all painful diseases. Hence they become chronic.
Acidity, excessive wind, cold , heat, sour food and sinusitis, constipation, intestinal inflammation;
Blockage in the flow of Vital Energy are their causes. None of them can be treated with medicine. Our 100% success in treating migraine &H/A confirms it.
Acupuncture is the best treatment. I can treat it with naturopathy and YOG, but how can you manage pl see.
Avoid late sleeping if possible;spicy, sour, stale bakery foods and alcohole.
Sweet foods, sweet fruits, milk, rice and good sleep will help you.
But you try one herbal remedy- two drops of drumstick leaves' juice in opposite nostril if one side pains and both nostrils if full H/A will give you rescue. Betel leaf helps but it isvery strong.
If it is acute pl search a painful point 3-6 mm behind your thumb nail and press it, H/A will disappear within 30 seconds.

You may have gotten food poisoning, this will cause a very, very, very bad headache. So think back to what you ate about 1 to 2 hours ago. Just try to relax, throw-up if you have to and then lay down with a cool wet washcloth over your eyes and forehead and you will be asleep before you know it!

Most people laugh at the notion, but having an orgasm will get rid of just about any headache you can imagine.

Now you just need to decide if you'll get there by yourself or with a mate ;)

By the way, i'm totally serious. It works *every* time. My girlfriend gets migraines all the time due to a genetic disorder and it works wonders!

See a doctor NOW withing the hour at the emergency room. A headache, or any other pain for that matter, is a sign that something is wrong. I'm not even going to speculate as I'm not a doctor looking at test results, but I can tell you that different things cause different headaches. Get checked out now and I hope he/she can give you something to feel better. And I hope you turn out alright. Good luck and you'll be in my thoughts and prayers. E-mail me and let me know how it goes. My e-mail address is in my profile.

Try to cut down on aspirin and panadol. Try drinking some isontonic drink like H20 or 100 Plus add with a bit of water to cure your headache.

Have someone put baking soda across your forehead, then cover it with a single paper towel. Hold a hand towel tightly across your eyes and have them dribble generous amounts of vinegar to wet the BS through the paper towel. This really works.
