Well, I just found a spider in my blanket and now I'm scared to go to sleep...I sleep in my living room on the floor so it kinda makes it worse but I like sleeping on the floor better than on my bed...Anyways, how can I go to sleep without being scared of waking up with bites all over my body?

I was supposed to start my period today, but I didn't. It's not unusual for me to start my period 1 or 2 days late, so no worries there.
The thing is I'm planning on going to a pool party tomorrow. Since my period hasn't started, I can't start using tampons - it hurts like hell to take out when there's no blood. But of course I don't want my period to start while I'm in the pool (I don't know if it'll start tomorrow or the day after that).
Is there any other option i have? Or do I just have to stay out of the water tomorrow?

I know i'll be able to insert the tampon using lubricant, but taking it out is unbearable without lubrication. And i can't really use a lubricant when taking it out. It's not physically possible...

Personally I think the government should give the employer of a person long term mentally ill and on incapacity benefit, half of the money they would have given the employee if they were not working for about six months in order to incentivise the employers, and make it easier for the mentally ill to return to work. Otherwise the long term mentally ill have hardly any chance of getting a job with so much discrimination about.
The employer wins out by getting the money. The employee wins out by been given a more level playing field and a chance to prove himself and bypass discrimination. The government wins out because they only pay half and after six months they stop paying it and get someone of incapacity benefit.
Rant over.
Has anyone got an answer to my original question

I'm unfit at the moment and have various aches and pains which I put down to being 63. If I were to get physically fit/fitter, would these pains diminish, even go altogether? I realise that the process of getting fit will bring some pain and stiffness, but am looking at the long term - as I intend backpacking RTW and want to be physically as comfortable as possible for that.

I'm considering having gastric bypass surgery and would just like some feedback from people that have had it. I've gone to the consultations for all the info, now I'm just trying to get it approved through my insurance. Please share your experiences, good and bad. Thanks!

I heard that acid reflux and stomach upset can trigger the vagus nerve, causing what feels like heart spasms/flutters or PAC's. I experience these quite a lot, sometimes in runs for hours and days. Usually when I have the flutters it feels like it is triggered after a big meal, and feel like I have a lot of gas and need to burp a lot. Sometimes they happen when my stomach muscles are tense or are puttng pressure on my chest, maybe due to eating a large meal (not necessarily due to anxiety or stress, in fact, it usually happens when I am quite relaxed). Since hearing about this possible connection, I've tried taking antacids and anti-gas medications, but it hasn't worked. Has anyone experience these, and is there anything else I can try to relieve/prevent them?

I quit smoking a few weeks ago and then started again today. I don't know if quitting was really worth it ... I've smoked a pack a day since I was in high school and am 24 now so it's become so much a part of who I am. I don't think living to be 80 is such a great thing with having to wear a diaper and not remembering anything. I'm thinking it's better to enjoy life and take the chance of dying a bit younger but only after having really lived life to the fullest. What do you think?

I have very open pores, and oily skin, and white stuff comes out the sides of my nose and cheeks, like black heads but they are white. Its not pimples. And my face usually has a red color. Ive tried many face washes, and toners, and moisturizers. The best thing so far is the apricot scrub, but it fails to eliminate the white stuff from coming out the face. What is it, where does it come from, what is it called, and how can I stop it from happening. Im thinking its an internal thing, to do with the stomach or something, but im not sure.
