I'm unfit at the moment and have various aches and pains which I put down to being 63. If I were to get physically fit/fitter, would these pains diminish, even go altogether? I realise that the process of getting fit will bring some pain and stiffness, but am looking at the long term - as I intend backpacking RTW and want to be physically as comfortable as possible for that.

#It depends. If you have brittle bones which isn't uncommon with over 60's, then exercise might not be a good idea. Check with your GP and ask if there are some light exercises you can take up to improve wellbeing. Don't do anything until you talk to a doctor. I dont even do that and I'm 24!

You've to consult a doctor first before you try to start an exercise program, seeing that you're unfit and have various pains and aches.

Exercise is good, but it'll not cure all pains/aches - it could relieve you of some pains and aches (such as arthritis, back pain) but NOT certain pains and aches, which should really be diagnosed properly by a doctor, to find out their causes.

To put records straight, if you warm up, cool down and execute movements properly when you exercise, there shouldn't be any pains or stiffness.

After finishing your morning necessities,

sit with your back straight and do this pattern of breathing.

Close your right nostril and take breath through your left one,
do not hold the breath then close the left nostril and breath out through the right. Now take the breath by the right nostril and breath out from Left one (THIS IS CALLED ALTERNATE NOSTRIL BREATHING THIS WILL REMOVE ALL THE ACCUMULATED AIR FROM YOUR BODY AND RELIEVE YOU OF THE PAIN.)
