Well, I just found a spider in my blanket and now I'm scared to go to sleep...I sleep in my living room on the floor so it kinda makes it worse but I like sleeping on the floor better than on my bed...Anyways, how can I go to sleep without being scared of waking up with bites all over my body?

I live in Missouri. Are Black Widows or Brown Recluse spiders here? Or are they everywhere?

Sounds like you're more afraid of the spider bites than the spiders themselves. If you haven't had one before, you may not be prone to them. I've never had a spider bite in my entire life (which may be good karma for saving spiders, because I love them, hehe).

Fortunately, according to people I know who have been bitten by spiders, they don't cover your body with bites. Most often, the person only had one or two bites. Compared to a bee sting or a mosquito bite, they're mild.

most spiders don't bite, for the most part they leave you alone totally - they are scared of people, they nearly always try to avoid you. Most of the time, the spiders that bite you are the ones you can't see anyway. It hardly ever happens. I've been bitten once, but I was in heavy wilderness, and I never saw the spider. It's an irrational fear. I know spiders are creepy - but they really are harmless for the most part. Most of the time I leave them alone, unless they are blatantly in my way - I don't like spiders that suddenly drop down in front of my face, then it's a dead spider. IT isn't something worth losing sleep over. If you still have trouble, see a counselor about it.

A spider bite is a big deal - when I was bitten it swelled up big, and get really red. I had to go to the doctor/hospital, but the spiders that do that usually aren't in the house - they are in the wilderness. Most of the spiders in your house are harmless, unless it is a black widow with a red hourglass. if it isn't one of those then most likely it's harmless.

Most people never get bitten and everyone has spiders in their house I think.
If you are still scared after reading my reply - please get help.

im scared of spiders myself but in the end you have to just get over it. I usually try to get the spider onto a long item (so Im at the farthest end of it) then let it outside.
Thats for the average spider though.. I can handle that.
If it was a black widow...

we all get bites, every night.. but thats why we have an immune system.

Anytime you find one in the house...find a cup or paper and "trap" it and let it outside... think to yourself Arachnid I am setting you free say it out loud if you feel comfortable talking to the spider... also spider magic is telling you to be creative. I also had a phobia of them but I have slowly overcome that. Took me over 10 years but I see the message she is trying to send. Good luck and if all else fails a ring of raid sprayed outside of where you sleep will take care of it but thinking they are here and live and let live will get you further. :-)

Raid fog your place then wash your covers. All spiders will be gone and you can rest assured that they won't be back for at least 3 months or maybe longer.

You can't.. I go to bed every night terrified of spiders, but I just go to sleep and don't worry about it.
