my throat hurts because i have been coughing so much, i am at school and really want it to stop throbbing, is there anything i can do to make it better without having to purchase medication?

I am 43 years old and a bra size 34 G. Aside from having a difficult time finding tops to wear, not to mention shelling out big bucks for bathing suits and bras, I am more concerned about my health and posture. I find it so difficult to hold a straight posture and have been like that since I was a teen. I do have upper back and neck discomfort, and I cannot do any exercises that involve jumping and running. I am going to speak with a surgeon in the near future. I am pretty sure I need one, but the thought of surgery is very, very scary for me. Do you think surgery is the right choice?

Please help! My boyfriend of 8 months is suffering depression. He was injured 3 years ago that has left him with chronic pain. He's not happy with his job -but won't pursue looking for a different one. He believe's we argue and don't get along all the time. I lost one of my part time jobs. And he believe's we argue all the time and don't get along. I am actively looking for another job. We have had a few disagreements recently over little stupid things - is this from his depression? We had a disagreement yesterday that ended with him calling us over and wanting me and my son out as soon as possible. Today he wants us to work and see how we do this weekend. I don't know what to do! I Love him and he says he loves me. And I feel that the few disagreements we have had stems from his depression. I did get him to schedule to talk to a counselor tomorrow. I have tried to be very supportive of him and help him in any way I can, but it feels like he's pushing me away. Help please.

Last Monday about 2 weeks ago, i stayed up all night drinking pepsi. After that, I was jittery, nervousness, heart palpations. After that, the heart palpations went away and my heart was beating normal. But my mind was cloudy and it was fatique all day long. The symptoms lasted but got a little bit better each day. Yesterday, i drink 2 glasses of pepsi. And then i waited a hour and went to bed. I couldnt sleep that much last night. I was up and down. So when i get up this morning around 7 i notice i had heart palpations and jitteryness, nervousness and anxiety. The anxiety and that was prob from me thinking about it and being worried lol. But when im focused on something i barely notice them. I was wondering could it be from the caffeine? causing this? I've also had like cramps and gas.

My mom has gone for her first chemo treatment today... I have no idea what to expect as I am taking care of her tonight. Will she be feeling her worst right after chemo? Or is it over a few days? What do I have to be careful of while caring for her? Any help is appreciated.

Can the problem of slight diffrence of length (or height) in legs can be corrected by using some appratus ? Is there anything available in the market that can be used for correcting the height (or length) of legs? I mean the diffrence of length between the two legs in one or two inches. Or is there anything available that can be put under the shoes so that the length can be corrected and thus to make the walking comfortable.

Hi all, i know ALOT of these have been posted, but i want a thorough answer. I am 26 years old and my height is about 5'10" tall. Currently i probably weigh in about 235 pounds or so. Most of my fat goes to my stomach area. I know i need to be at about 180 for a healthy body mass but i also cannot do these expensive diets where i have to buy all these expensive foods at the grocery. Today for example i had water and a Mcdonalds Bacon Ranch salad with grilled chicken. Im wondering any tips on how to lose a good 20 pounds or so in a consitent healthy way. Im talking eating food wise... I know i have to exercise, and im fine with that... Its just im so used to eating out ALL the time, and im not sure how im going to adapt. Any help on this would be so greatly appreciated!!

My son was diagnosed at birth with aortic regurgitation and I found a website that states that it is curable with surgery, however our cardiologist has never stated it like that, he states that when he has a valve replacement it will be "temp" fix until the fake valve wears out and needs replaced again. Which to me is not a cure. What is your thought?

When i urinate, i can never empty it all out, it seems to come out very quickly but then towards the end it feels like it's 'tightening up' inside and although i can feel there's lots more urine in there, it just won't come out!

BUT, then as little as 2 minutes later i need to go back to the toilet again and then a little more comes out

I need to go very frequently (between 10-20 mins) and fluids go straight through me!

But it's especially annoying when i go the toilet (incompletely) and as soon as i get into bed i need 2 go again as it didn't empty properly...

GRRR! :-(

Anyone know what this is? I have app at hospitals urology unit but not until june 25th.

Starting Saturday I've had a dull ache in my lower right abdomen. I've also had nausea with it. It has continually gotten worse, now it hurts whenever I move. I went to Urgent Care on Monday because it's just out of the ordinary enough for me to worry. They gave me antibiotics for a kidney infection and told me to go back in if it got worse. Tuesday night I was at the ER because it had gotten worse. The ER doc was convinced it was appendicitis until he got my test results back. My WBCs and urinalysis were normal, however the CT of my appendix showed fecaliths and calcifications. He refered me to a surgeon because he said that these things were a precursor to appendicitis. The surgeon, pretty much told me that they were normal. Great! I don't have appendicitis, but could someone tell me what I do have? Everyone just keeps telling me to go home, wait it out, and go back to the ER if it gets worse. Well, it is, but why go if they'll send you right back home?

For the past few weeks I guess (I lost track), I get a bad cramping stomach ache before I have to go to the bathroom but I hate going now. When I do....it hurts. I believe that some of the blood on my stool and paper is from rectal tears probably but i have mucus too more often than not. I am only going to be 20 next month so I am doubting cancer of any type but at this rate I don't know. I havn't told my fiance or my doctor yet because I want to do some investigating but I don't know what to search for. It seems that no one has the same thing I do. My paper is BRIGHT red, somtimes with very small clots but they could also just be mucus (though I think the first is a better assumption to the looks of it).

Someone please help me figure out whats going on. I am not going to the doctor if I just have some tears, I suppose I will just buy stool softener and deal with it.

never really exercised before, need low impact exercises. i don't eat veggies, except for corn or potatoes, and no fruits. don't like fish and im lactose intolerant. any diet ideas would be helpful cause the stuff like jenny craig and weight watchers doesn't work for me. most of the workouts i can do will have to be in and around my home. i have two small kids. i have 3 richard simmons tapes and am starting them.

My 46 yr. old husband suffered a massive stroke 2 weeks ago; he's now in a rehab facility. He is paralyzed on the right side, can not speak, has trouble with eating (sometimes has a feeding tube). Has anyone gone through or knows of someone who has had this situation and if so, what was the prognosis? This is all so overwhelming, but with God's help I know we will get through this. Thank you in advance for any helpful suggestions.
