When i urinate, i can never empty it all out, it seems to come out very quickly but then towards the end it feels like it's 'tightening up' inside and although i can feel there's lots more urine in there, it just won't come out!
BUT, then as little as 2 minutes later i need to go back to the toilet again and then a little more comes out
I need to go very frequently (between 10-20 mins) and fluids go straight through me!
But it's especially annoying when i go the toilet (incompletely) and as soon as i get into bed i need 2 go again as it didn't empty properly...
GRRR! :-(
Anyone know what this is? I have app at hospitals urology unit but not until june 25th.
Thank you :-)

occasionally i get a little 'stinging' sensation down there when i wee?
IF it's a UTI, would it give these symptoms of incomplete urination?

Looks like a case of UTI, your symptoms are very typical.
Burning, urine incontinence, retention, trickling all these are signs of infection. The symptoms of uncomplicated UTI's are pain or burning on urination, urge to urinate, increased urination frequency, nocturia, and suprapubic heaviness.
The symptoms a person has with a UTI depend on how old the person is and on where in the urinary tract the infection is located.
Urethritis usually appears as burning on urination. Often this burning occurs mainly when you start urinating, since the bacteria and infected urine in the urethra cause the inflammation but are flushed out when "fresh" urine flows through the urethra on its way out of the bladder.
Cystitis may show up as burning on urination, often in the "middle" of urination. However, it may have no symptoms other than fever, lower abdominal (way down -- just above the pubic bone) pain, or even just a funny smell or colour or appearance (cloudy, dark, even blood-tinged) to your urine.
Blood in the urine can be a sign -- sometimes the only sign at first -- of a urinary tract infection. It can result from microscopic bleeding within the kidneys, or from an abscess if the infection is far advanced. Blood can also appear in urine from a bleed anywhere between the kidneys and the urinary meatus (the end of the urethra, from where the urine emerges); in particular, cystitis can result in bleeding inside the bladder, which will certainly leave blood in the urine -- whether as blood-tinging, blood clots in the urine, or something in between. When we ask patients what part of the urine stream the blood appears in, we are trying to figure out where the blood is entering the urine: for example, blood that appears just as you start to urinate and clears up as the flow continues indicates that the bleeding is in the urethra, where it accumulates until you urinate and is then flushed out by the flowing urine. On the other hand, blood that is uniformly mixed with the urine is likely coming from the kidneys, the ureters, or the bladder.
Since your kidneys are located in your back, just below your bottom ribs, pyelonephritis may appear as pain in your back or flank(s), or in the abdomen. Fever usually (but not always) comes along with the pain. If the kidneys are severely affected, you may also start seeing some of the complications due to kidney malfunction.
Check if your urine has an offensive smell.
Drink lots of water. If you are not allergic to sulpha drugs, try Bactrim, it is a good antibiotic for UTI.
Alternatively, there are good homeopthic medicines available. See a good homeopath.
Take lots of barley water. It will help flush the kidneys.
If you get tender coconut water, then drink it. Barley water and coconut water are good diuretics.
Most uncomplicated UTIs can be treated with oral antibiotics such as trimethoprim, cephalosporins, nitrofurantoin, or a fluoroquinolone (e.g. ciprofloxacin, levofloxacin). Whilst co-trimoxazole was previously internationally used (and continues to be used in the U.S.), the additional of the sulphonamide gave little additional benefit compared to the trimethoprim component alone, but was responsible for its both high incidence of mild allergic reactions and rare but serious complications.
If the patient has symptoms consistent with pyelonephritis, intravenous antibiotics may be indicated.

yes i know that feeling!!! So irritating having to get up from bed again after warming it, or having to go to the toilet one last time yet again before going out, only to have the need to go AGAIN as soon as the front door is locked! GRRR... And like you, fluids go straight through me.
Quite frankly, i don't have any plausible explanation. Maybe is it because kidneys would be working overtime at that moment, so produce urine again very quickly? I've often tried to explain it to myself in that way. Hey, when you go to the urology tell me what they told you! I'm really curious to know why now....
thanks :)

I think it is a bladder infection but I am sure the others got a point as well. Now you want to do something about this if you can not go to your MD soon. You can make a strong tea of Gold flower. It is radical but usefull. Also Coriander seeds that you bruise make another tea that at least stops things from getting worse. This is just for the emergency. You must see your MD!!!

This could very well be a uti. I would see your doctor sooner than June 25. An uti can become very serious if left untreated.

You probably have are urine or bladder infection.
Speak with you're general doctor though just to make sure, waiting till june is far to long as it could get worse if untreated.

With all you describe a UTI is most likely. If you start having fever and chills, go to the ER immediately, as you have developed pylonephritis
