You should get to the doctor. It could be hems, but it could be something more. The only way to know for sure is to see the doc. Good luck.
P.S. Thank you for taking my appetite away. I was just about to go grab an ice cream bar. I didn't need it anyways...

You're right to make an appointment - good for you. I noticed you mentioned your babe has had milk-based formula - is she still on that formula? A common but relatively unknown symptom of a milk allergy is blood in the stool, so if she still is, that could be what's going on. As others have said, could be fissures, or sign of a more serious problem. Good luck.

I could guess like everyone else is doing but, it could be anything from the simplest to the very worst and, in between. I hope that scares you enough to get you to a doctor right away because it can be serious.
More than likely it's a nervous bowl syndrome from an allergic reaction to alcohol or gravies, spices, anything on this order but, have it checked out now.

Go to your doctor. Any kind of rectal bleeding is a concern. If it was just bleeding, it could have been piles, but as there is mucus too and stomach pains, you really need investigating. It sounds like it could be higher up in your colon. One possibility is irritable bowel disease or even Crohn's disease, but you need to rule these out as well as anything more sinister. Don't want to scare you, but these are red flag signs, even at your age, and any doctor would want to refer you for investigations. So please, do go down to your doctors. :-)

You might have irritable bowel syndrome, crohns or colitis. Gastrointestinal disease. Get it checked out, blood in your stool IS NOT NORMAL.
Cramps and blood is a sure sign that something is wrong and it can be healed or maintained if you go to your doctor.

it DOES sound like anal fissures and tears, the bright red blood is the clue. mucous is the body's normal way of trying to accomodate the stools thru lubrication. colace is a good stool softner to use. cancer would present itself as pencil thin stools. black tarry stools with real dark blood is internal bleeding.

Those are urgent signs that you need to see a doctor...There are so many things it could or could not be so it is hard to say.
Just because you are young does not necessarily exclude you from cancer, there are young people who have strokes and heart attacks. See A Doctor!!!!

You should let the doctor investigate the situation. You can't get any better unless you get help. You may pass something on to your girl friend; that wouldn't be very nice.
