Trying gargling with warm salt water, about 2 teaspoons per 8 oz of water. Drinking hot tea or cold grape juice usually makes mine feel better.

My son just got over strep throat. And the things that helped him most: gargle with salt water several times a day and sipping on hot tea. He would hold the cup of tea up by is face and breath in the steam so it would moisturize his throat. He also sucked on cough drops, hard candy and he took tylenol/advil to help with the pain too.

are you sure you have strep? because that is a bacteria and you need an antibiotic to get rid of it. You can't fix strep with out medicine. If it is just a sore throat try hot tea or just hot water with a little lemon. You can also gargle really warm salt water. GO TO YOUR DOCTOR IF YOU HAVE STREP

keep your throat hydrated, preferably water. cough drops can help along with chewing gum because it helps produce more saliva. try not to talk or breath through your more a lot, cuz it will help dry out hte throat and can irritate you vocal cords and they were rattled a lot when you coughed. if nothing helps, you may have to get cough suppressant at the store or see a doc. hope you get better soon.

i would suggest a hot drink, coffee or tea, lots of it, its what i use, also sucking on a hard piece of Candy or sore throat drops. If you like it a teaspoon of honey will stop your cough for a while and it tastes a lot better than cough syrup

I've heard that gargling with warm salty water helps. There are also cough drops that soothe sore throats.

Try some ice cream. That's what I use. Lots and lots of ice cream. You will want to experiment with different flavors until you find the perfect one. Then you will have to do some extensive research to be sure. But you need lots and lots of it though. If done properly, you might gain a couple pounds, but it's OK, it's for research. Good Luck.
