at the same time be healthy about it? I know that weight problems among adolescents is getting higher, which is why Networks like Nickelodeon promote a get out and play type program where they don't show cartoons or any shows for a certain number of hours, and encourage youth to go out and get active. I think this is excellent. However, my question is, women and especially young girls have a distorted view of how their bodies should look and what the "perfect body" should look like, mainly in part due to the media. How do you tell young girls that okay, no you do NOT have to look like this; you should love your body no matter how it looks, but at the same time, get across the fact that certain weights and sizes are not good for the health?

i am extremely insecure about my body. for months i was gradually losing weight and feeling fabulous, and then i went to america for two weeks and completely lost my self control. i havent been able to get back on my normal diet and exercise routine since, and im terribly afraid of gaining back all the weight i so successfully lost.

my first problem is that i keep beating myself up for eating the occasional sweetie (when i used to never allow myself any sugar) so how can i overcome my insecurity?

secondly, how can i take control of my life again and make sure this extra weight goes away once and for all?

lose weight. I don't want types of exerceises or diets because I'm not that dedicated and have very little time. I just want some small things that I can do to improve my health that may help me lose weight. I'm also on a limited budget and don't really care for vegetables or many fruits.

I have a crack in one of my front upper teeth. The crack isn't large enough for a piece of my tooth to completley break off, but it is large enough to cause me pain when exposed to cold and sugar. What should be done about it and how much would it cost?

How many people out there find it funny when a guy gets hit hard south below his belly button. It seems every guy reacts exactly the same. You know by doubling their bodies over, grunting or screaming upon the impact. Then there is always a stupid look on their face, as his mind tries to fight it off, or something. Then of course, falling face first in the dirt, rolling around writhing in helpless agony, while making every attempt to ease the pain by grabbing the nuts. Of course this entire process I described, all goes to vain. It just seems odd that the male body is strong, masculine, and virile. However, can be taken down with a simple backhand to the place that makes him strong, masculine, and virile -His Very Manhood-. I think Mother Nature played a very cruel joke to a mans body. What do you guys/girls think about the male reaction to pain? Is it funny or does it deserve pity?

It is a red rash only on her ring finger. The skin looks a little flakey too. It gets better after she takes it off and basically disappears. We sent it off to be professionally cleaned, buffed, etc., hoping that maybe it was just something on the ring that could be cleaned off. This is the only ring she wears. Will switching to a white gold ring alleviate the rash/irritation or will she have to go without any ring?

I just had a "deep cleaning" with a dentist, it was my first visit to him and he urged me to get it. I had read online that deep cleaning must include root planing

So what actually happened? the dentist performed sonic scaling of my teeth and gums. No anesthesia. I've had a sonic cleaning before AT NO EXTRA CHARGE!

I am under the impression that planing requires a different tool than a scaler....right?

And if sonic scaling = deep cleaning then why does that change the price from free (100% covered) to $95 (80% covered)?

Okay, all I have a question. My boyfriend is going to have four of his wisdom teeth removed today with only a local anesthetic. My question is, is it okay for him to take a vicodin (left over from another dental procedure he had done) and a ibuprofen before he goes in, to lessen the chance of pain? He is hard to get numb and also has tmj so it will be quite painful to hold his mouth open for so long.

I've been taking 300mg Lithium Carbonate nightly for sleep. It's not working and my Russian psychiatrist has switched me to Ambien CR, which does work for me. My question is, how do I stop taking the Lithium? Can that be done abruptly or must I taper? He didn't seem to understand what I was asking when I spoke with him (he's an intern in psychiatry as well as a less than fluent English speaker). I'll be searching for a private non-charity based clinic once my new insurance kicks in, so I won't have to deal with him for much longer thankfully. His adviser was too busy to speak with me at the time of my visit, so I couldn't ask her.
