Health - 19 April 2007

At my first OB appt. for this pregnancy the other day, I pointed out this bump under my belly button. The doc said it was a hernia. I had no idea! I just thought maybe it was a fatty cyst. Now I'm worried it will get worse during the pregnancy. Anyone know if this will happen, or if it does get worse, can you have it repaired while you are pregnant? Should I go see a specialist? If so, what kind of doctor do I go to? I don't have a primary care doc. I just go straight to a specialist. Thanks.

much or most of the country is using the prescription drug Effexor (spelling unknown), and according to dr Ann blake tracy the manufacturer of this drug, last year, added this adverse reaction to its list of side effects. Isnt this so completely evil?

I constantly want to commit suicide but do not understand why? In my lifetime no major incidents have happened, no one close has died nothing like that. Nothing remotely sad has occurred, however, I want to die? I am not depressed, I only feel like this when I am alone, if I am out with friends or at school, as long as I am not alone I am perfectly fine, happy with everything, yet as soon as I am alone, I change. As if I am different person, constantly thinking about death.

I don’t self harm, never have. Every night in bed, I think about death, for the last few years the only way I’ve remembered getting to sleep is by thinking about death
. When I think I do not think of why I want to die. Not that I want to die because I’m “Sad” with my life! Or want to “escape life” .Nothing like that, just me dieing in my head. How would I do it, Where?, When? I think about me dieing , being stabbed, run over, asphyxiation etc . I just fear that i will cave in

Okay I was wondering last month I really didn't have a period just light spotting every now and then and when I had sex I would have a little blood but then after that it would stop. Well this month I finally started my period now it seems as though its lasting forever is it normal to bleed for awhile its not really heavy blood but its blood and I don't like it much Hopefully it will be over soon could someone please answer this for me other than to go see a doctor

They are little tears that occur around creases around my vagina. My gyno said they are fissures and gave me a cream to put on it while they heal. But after they go away they keep coming back. I've been tested recently for all STDs so it's not that. I've always had very sensitive skin but as I get older I seem to get dry there and tear by just moving. Any advice?

Well i know my pro. is wrong but i am 14 and well i was at school and i hit someones knee cap REALLY hard on my wrist bone well it was red but it didnt hurt REALLY bad but then i was talkin and i hit my wrist in the same place on a wall HARD and then it hurt realllllllly bad but right now it has a huge bump and i feel like a diff bone that wasnt there but it hurts when i touch it and its like purple and brown...did i break it?

my 14 year old son was diagnosed with osgood schlatter's 2 weeks ago. he has been in discomfort since but it got worse last night, i took him to see the g.p today, he was sent for an emergency x-ray at the hospital as the swelling is so bad today.
when the x-ray was developed the assistant said that looking at the x-rays she would send them back to the doctor's as URGENT.
what could this mean as i don't know anyone else who has had this condition ?
also what is likely to help ease the pain for him , and how long does it last ?

Is it normal for it to smell really strong down there, I mean strong enough to practically make a whole room smell? My room is a smaller college dorm room, and I do have a roommate, who I am pretty sure notices it off the bat. Please e-mail me if you'd rather, since this is a private issue.
