Avoid sugar and white flour. Increase the amount of water and vegetables you consume. You may also need to do interval training while doing your cardio workout. Intervals comprise of seconds/minutes of hard work followed by seconds/minutes of recovery for reps.

Whole wheat bread is okay to eat for breakfast. Rice is okay if it's limited. Butter, cheese, fried foods, potatoes, fries, hamburgers, ice cream, whole fat milk, sugar, chocolate, chips, dips, salad dressings, sodas, juices, and cookies are bad. There's a lot more foods you have to stay away from...like foods that are high in sodium.

Losing weight is a simple equation: if you burn more calories than you eat, the weight will come off. Start off by estimating how many calories you burn each day using the calorie calculator http://straighthealth.com/pages/tools/caloriecalclb.html This will give you an idea of how many calories to eat. Healthy weight loss is 1-2 pounds per week. To lose 1 pound per week you need to create a calorie deficit (burn more than you eat) of 500 calories per day. To lose 2 pounds a week, you have to double the deficit to 1000 calories per day. You can achieve this by eating less, exercising more or a combination of both.

Watch your liquids. Juice, Soda, fancy creamy coffee drinks, fatty milk.

I switched all drinks to water 3 months prior to my wedding, and 15lbs fell right off. Went from like 140 to 125.
