Yes it does boost your metabolism. Eating more often causes your body to use and distribute stored energy more efficiently. This also keeps you satiated and distributes glucose into your blood stream at a much more even pace then say sitting down and eating 1500 calories of Mexican food for dinner. Starving yourself causes you to loose muscle, primarily. When you starve yourself, you're body goes into a mode of survival and anything you eat during that starvation period will be stored as fat. The body needs X amount of calories every day to live, breath, etc. Some refer to this as our Basal Metabolic Rate.

Yes. Just like a fire you have to have something to burn or it shuts down. I can't be consumed with trying to get 6 meals in so I drink Myoplex shakes for meal replacement. I feel full.
2 a day and then small meals. One shake in am then shake at lunch and diet dinner(Protein and vegi maybe small starch.)
And try to have small snacks as can.

Fueling the body promotes healthy blood sugar levels as getting the muscles protein . This raises the metabolism, which gives energy and losing fat not muscle.

I just started so I am learning.

eating the more frequent smaller healthy meals in a lot easier to digest and better for you, but what really stokes the metabolism is doing any exercise....swimming, jogging, stair stepper, Nordic track, anything that makes you breathe deeply for at least 30 minutes.....try it for 30 days and see if I'm not right :)

yess it does, because it keeps your metabolism going all day. starving yourself will not get you anywhere because it makes you completely unhealthy..and when you do it..it is automatically stored as fat because your body is getting so little food

yes it does. your body has to keep burning the calories, like constantly stoking a fire. it never has a chance to die down.
