I stopped taking my birth control in december and i still havent had my period. I have taken like 4 home pregnancy tests and had a blood test taken and they all say im not pregnant. Is it normal not to have a period for awhile after getting of birth contol? What could be wrong?

I have a friend who at times has problems breathing, and heart palpitations. Lately she is fatigued; she has had headaches since she was 6 years old (she is 19 now), and also has insomnia. Normal OTC painkillers don't work on the headaches. About four days ago she fell asleep twice while talking to me online - once during the day, and once at night. Shortly after this, she passed out and didn't come around until the next afternoon. Can anyone PLEASE tell me what might be wrong? Is there any mild condition, or combination of them, that could cause this and do NOT need a doctor's care? Please help.

My mother is suffering from swollen feet since last few days. She is of arround 50+ year of age and weight is 80 kg. She is also having high blood pressure problem. Though earlier her feet were not swollen but now this problem arrises. Should i conect it with blood pressure problem. If it is not the BP problem is there any accurate solution for the problem?

I have had this problem for some time now. About a year maybe. I aslo have depression and anxiety. Im always nervous. That should be no excuse for the chewing of my fingers!!! I chew on them until they bleed, and Im tired of it. The tips are blood red and I think they are infected. My fingertips look horriblly raw b/c of my chewing. My pinky(s) are the worst. I chew on them and the slightest chew, and they bleed. They hurt badly!!! Please don't tell me to put hot sauce on them. Don't tell me to put anything on them that will make them more infected. Also, its Spring. Do you honestly think I'd like to run around with gloves on? Please give me smart and really informative suggestions.

I'd appreciate that alot.

or even worse, can't even read letter until you're about 1 inch away, without any glasses or contacts. My eye vision is horrible right now, and I think this is the cause of my eyes becoming crossed. When I take a pic without my glasses, it clearly shows my eyes concentrated toward the center, while wearing contact relieves the magnitude of having crossed eyes, but still has some signs of it.
I used to look at the computer screen for a long time without a break constantly, everyday. Could this have contributed to my eyes positions becoming weird?

I would like to start a detox diet to get all the yuckies out of my body, but I don't want to do anything really drastic all at once. I currently eat about 50 percent organic. I would like to do two phases of my detox.

Phase I - increased water intake, increased consumption of antioxidants and 100 percent organic food, if possible.
Phase II - the above plus detox baths.

I am by no means a health expert. If anyone out there knows about this, does my plan sound good? If not, how should I change it? If it does sound good, how long should I do each phase? Any other suggestions?

My symptoms are 3/16/2007

I have shooting pain down both forearms down my Ulnar nerve.
I have stabbing /cramping pains down both of my fore arms.
The pain was execration, but now has defused and dissipated.
However it is still very painful.
Also I have pain in my elbows both on the interior and exterior side.
The tennis elbow is more intense when I pick up, twist, or turn an object.
Oddly I have intense pain down my arms when I sneeze or I have a shiver.
I have pain in my medial carpals in my wrist.
The pain migrates from four to five places in my wrists.
I have painful sensation changes in the 4th and 5th fingers.
I wake up many nights with pain in my hands and in a claw formation.
I have tingling burning sensations, weakness in my hands and arms.
I have trouble with my grip, pinching, grasp, twisting, of my hands
and arms. I am losing mobility in my arms that makes me drop objects more often. I am experiencing partial paralysis and loss of movement in my hands and wrists. I am experiencing a numbness and tingling on the top surface of my thumbs. I still have extreme pain at the base of both thumbs. Which is a sign of atrophy of the muscular bulge in an advanced or chronic stage, I am been told. I am experiencing that I cannot move my hands and arms with the same speed as just a few months ago and is continually getting worse. Also the pain is increasing with less exertion. I am experiencing pain from a nerve that rolls over my shoulders then to the underside of my arm between my biceps and triceps. Then runs down the length of my arm about two inches apart.
I am also catching myself from dizzy spills or vertigo. I thought it was from my pain medication so I didn’t put it together. Since its been over a year without pain medication and I still have dizzy spills. Is this a symptom too?
