My mother has Type 2 diabetes (was only diagnosed in her late 50s) and is taking medication to lower her blood sugar levels.

I heard that green tea can "wash out" any existing medicines in the body. How true is this? So will she be able to drink green tea then? She currently does not drink any green tea but I do (tea leaves imported directly from China) and thought maybe she could try some.

Okay. I have been gettin these bumps around the middle of my arm (where u bend ur arm) and i dont get them anywhere else on my body. I used hydracortizone cream and it helped alot by taking the bumps away. Also it seems I cant wear any purfume or body sprays because it makes the bumps come back. Is this and alergic reaction or somethisng else? Should I go see a doctor?

i went to the doctors about 3 weeks ago and she felt the lump and said it was a swollen gland but if it hadn't gone down in 2-3 weeks to come back in (i have got an appointment early next week). is this unusual for them not to go down or can they stay swollen for a long time?

I feel I need to go again, but nothing comes away. Any ideas, please? I have no burning or stinging. I just feel that I always need to urinate (most of the time), after I've already gone!

My friend is to start treatment for 6 months for hep c genotype 2. He has never drank alcohol and I was wondering if his liver will be able to recover and last him a lifetime if treatment is succesful. I would ask the specialist but he is too busy to answer questions and is quite abrupt.

I have had a bad cold for 2 weeks now, almost like a normal cold now. Only I have a bad cough that won't go away, it literally makes me sick to my stomach everyday and also feeling really weak all the time. The local nurse gave me amoxicillin 250g that I have been taking for almost a week now and buckley's cough syrup, but they don't seem to helping me. Is there anything else I can do to get rid of it, it's driving me nuts?

Here's the deal people. I want people who do not think HIV causes AIDS to put simply, why that is the case. I'm a scientist, i'll understand jargon. In this question I DO NOT WANT TO SEE people ranting about either view point. I dont want long spiels just the science.

If you think HIV does cause AIDS, this isn't the place to vent anger at those who disagree. I just want to know the evidence being put forward on the other side.

So. To recap: What is the evidence that HIV does not cause AIDS in humans?

This question is also under STD's.

I've been dieting and I've noticed I've been eating significantly less than 1200 calories on some days. I want to fix that. What would be a good food to fill in the extra calories each day without adding unwanted things like fat, sodium, carbs, etc. I don't like fruit and it needs to be something easy to grab and snack on.
