I had reduced my caloric intake and increased my workouts in order to lose weight (I used to weigh 135). I want to lose about 10lbs. I have been eating healthy meals with whole grains, fresh fruits & veggies and protein and I stop eating 3 hours before going to bed. I also drink about 84oz of water. I work out at least 6 times a week for either 40 minutes on a bike (about 11 miles) or 1-2 Tae Bo videos. I noticed a couple weeks ago that I wasn't eating at least 1,200 calories and had been doing so for a while, I think my body may have been in stavation mode because I stopped losing weight but maintained. So the past 2 weeks I've been trying to take in 1,200-1,400 cals. However, since doing so I have gained 4 lbs (I started at 108 two weeks ago). Is this normal to gain weight while my body adjusts, even while continuing exercise. How long should I typically gain before I start losing again? Also, I have been gradually increasing the intesity of my workouts to burn more. Thanks
