The easiest way to lose weight and keep it off is lifestyle change. I know this sounds hard, but really it isn't. Counting calories is key. All of the fad diets of today are just that, fads. If you burn more calories than you consume you will lose weight. You should talk to your doctor and determine what your goal is and what the calorie intake is that he recommends.
The second issue is exercise. As adults we forget how to play. We work and clean and cook and leave ourselves little time for fun. As a child you were probably on your bike, rollerskating, running, playing ball and other "kid" activities. Kids have a harder time gaining weight because they are perpetual motion. They also sleep like rocks.
Limit your television time, walk your dog, ride a bike to the store and buy the food you need for the day. Leave the crud food on the shelves of the store. Make whole fresh food and forget the boxed premade meals and snacks. Play outside with your kids if you have them. Shoot hoops, try on the hula hoop. Your kids will think you are fun and you will get the exercise your body needs.
Good luck on your reverting to childhood. I am going out to play soccer with my son!

Well, losing weight fast and losing weight in a healthy way are on completely different ends of the weight loss spectrum. If you lose weight in a healthy manner and keep it off, it is a slow (but steady) process. If you lose weight quickly, chances are that you are either not eating enough, depriving your body of essential nutrients, exercising too much, or a combination of these. 1-2 pounds a week is a healthy weight loss goal. Eat healthy foods (fruit, veggies, whole grains, and lean protein), keep exercising for at least 30 minutes a day, and stop eating when you are full. Also, stay hydrated and drink plenty of water. If you do all of these things, you should be fine. If you want info on healthy foods and caloric intake, go to mypyramid.gov. Great source of information.

Hi,
I specialize in helping people lose weight quickly and healthily and i myself lost 15kg within 2 mths via a detox.
I have also helped people lose a total of 500kg in the past few years via detox.
And the detox is simple. All you need to do is three things.
Number one, follow the detox programme which requires you to change your diet a little bit. Eg, take more vege and less meat and seafoods.
Number two, use 1 minute a day to take some natural health foods that I take to enhance the speed and the effect of the detox.
Number three, drink lots of water to flush the toxins out..
When you lose weight with me, I will also teach you how to get out of the emotional roller coaster so tat you will not eat habitually and can stick to this weight after losing it! ;)
And that's it.
The rest is up to you.
So what do you think? ;)
If you are keen, you can email me at verityy@yahoo.com.

I've tried many diets and couldn't make anything work. Since having my first child, I've been carrying around an extra 30 pounds. This diet just made sense and showed me that everything I was doing before was wrong and a waste of my time.
The plan was so refreshing and so simple to follow. I did everything plan said and lost 23 pounds in the first three weeks. I'm now starting the diet again to lose 7 more pounds. This plan has changed my life.
Get started today!

Everytime you reach for a snack...try going for a walk instead. Drink water to see if the craving goes away, if not...then have a piece of fruit, or a few almonds. Keep a food journal of what you eat, and how much. Eat a few small meals a day if possible. Eat whole wheat products instead of the regular stuff. Lose weight not to fit into that size 0 bikini that everyone wants...do it for health benefits. You want to keep your body in top shape (yes...SHAPE). There is a great weight watchers forum that is free, and has lots of motivational members to help you reach your goal. They are called the Boot Camp Buddies. Good luck!

Eat (real) food - mostly vegetables - not a lot.
If it's all vegetables (meaning very few - preferable none - dressings or sauces) you can pretty much graze all day.
And exercise (as in break a sweat) not less than 10 minutes a day. You will see results in how you feel within a week, and in how you look within 2-3 weeks. You will move better, sleep better, and your clothes will fit better. These are much better barometers than a scale - trust me! After just those few short days, with these few modifications to what you're doing/eating now, the results will be more than enough to keep you motivated - and have others asking how you did it!
Good luck!!!!

Get rid of anything you need to deep fry to eat, or just get rid of the deep fryer all together. Bake the food, it takes longer, but the way i see it, if it takes longer to get to the food, your day is completing faster and thus, you won't be hungry as much throughout the day. In highschool, I weighed 250 pounds. I stopped eating all fast food, given the exception of some french fries in salads, i stopped drinking pop, too. Everyday, I'd walk atleast 3 miles. In a month, I dropped down to 230. So, I continued for another month of not drinking pop, doing my three miles, and eating very little fast food, and lost an additional ten pounds. But, now I weigh 225 again, haha... damn cold weather! and all the holiday food! So, I started back up again, very little pop, fast food only on fridays, one time, because it's the day I am most active, so it works out. I'll be seeing 200 pounds by July. =) Goodluck.

A healthy eating plan and exercise. Eat something healthy when you feel the urge to eat. Nuts, fruits, whole grain breads, chicken and fish. Drink lots of water, try drinking a glass of water when you feel hungry then wait a few minutes and decide if you still need something. Just try to choose healthy.
