In the movie "Mary Poppins" she always sings about this magical spoon full of sugar. My daughter has trouble taking liquid medicine and gags at just the sight of it. I'm wondering if a spoon full of sugar with her medicine would really help? Or would this make the medicine not as affective? I'm not trying to sound ridiculous, I just thought it would help with the horrible taste and not to mention that we just watched the movie last night and I've been thinking of it ever since. So...

I work at a health clinic at a major university. We are moving our location and the health education portion is looking for a new name that is both professional as well as student friendly. We offer many services: HIV counselling, testing, nutrition counseling, we do seminars on alcohol, tobacco, sex, nutrition, etc. At this time, we currently do not have a name. Does anyone have any ideas?

My 46 year old mom has to get a mastectomy in two weeks to remove her breast with cancer. I am so scared and I am trying to be the best supportive daughter that I can be. The cancer also spread to her thyroid. I feel so bad for her because her self esteem is shot. She says a man will never want her again since she will have only one breast. The doctors say she will need chemo and radiation after the surgery. Can anyone tell me how long she will need to go through this treatment? Will she be in a lot of pain? Also any additional comments or knowledge about this topic is appreciated.

I'm 43 and in that magic part of life where I'm sure hormones play a big part in things I feel and think. In the last few years I've had an increasing number of occassions (sometimes lasting up to 3 days) where I feel highly sexually aroused physically. It's hard to concentrate and focus without getting relief. When that's not possible it drives me nuts until I do. Has anyone else experienced this? Is it a hormonal thing? What can I do when the usual means of relief aren't possible? Some kind of tea I can drink, herbs I can take or alternative solutions?

About 2 and a bit years ago, I was playing football and received a challenge from 'over the top' right onto the top of my foot. It hurt a bit at first on the top of my foot and my big toe, and there was some swelling, and it was very painful to walk on. I sought out medical advice, and they just said it was tissue injury. However, now, I have a clicking in my big toe (a region where a stud from the challenge hit) either between my metatarsal and first cunieform or phalange and metatarsal.
What is causing the clicking?

why is it that if I am in the office I keep going to the restroom I can't control my frequent trip to the restroom, but when I am at home, I can stay in front of the computer more than 2 hours without going to bathroom?

I have to go to the restroom every 15 to 20 minutes at the office it's interrupting my work

But when I am just at home, browsing and posting on the internet, I can control it or ignore it, or I really don't need to go.

It only happen this month, why is it happening now?

Hi,

I have bad body odour and I normally only use a bit of Lynx Deodorant Spray, I only use a bit as it annoys people in the house if I spray too much, but I was wondering is it okay to use antiperspirant rollon as well, or should it be only one or the other?

Thanks.

I have always been an angry person. Right now because of my anger I'm on medical leave from work and won't be able to return until at least May 1st. It sucks being angry all the time. It's really taking a toll on me physically, mentally, and emotionally. Some of my relationships are poor or even broken because of my anger.

I take medication and I get weekly anger management counseling. Any other recommendations to help me not be ticked off all the time?
