I have a question about my five year old son. He smears his fecies on his bedroom walls. What are steps to check to see if he is mentally five years old? Or if he has been abused or is being abused. His mother and I are divorced. What is the next step I should do? Please if anyone has any suggestions I would appreciate it very much.

My husband is currently suffering from an abscess on the lower part of his back. He made an appt last week to see his GP & was seen Fri lunchtime. The doctor examined him & prescribed a course of anti-biotics. At the time the abscess was very red & had a substantial yellow area in the middle. He started taking them straight away & is still taking them now. He was given a 7day course. The pain my husband is in got so bad that y'day we called up to the A&E dept near our home to see if there was anything they could do there & then. The triage nurse recommended that he wait until his course of anti-biotics has finished before doing anything else as the yellow area had reduced. My husband is in serious pain. He isn't eating, or sleeping because of it. When anything touches it he is in agony. He can't sit, he can't stand, he can't walk around. We thought once the anti-biotics started to work the pain would lessen but it has got much much worse! Has anyone had any experience of this?

I'm having trouble locating information about skin bumps that resemble a coin under the skin. Seriously, it's round and flat, but a bump, like a dime is under the skin. He's been itching it, and it seems painful. He had a fever last night of 100.7F, and has been extra emotional. The skin tone around the actual bump is flesh tone, but the bump itself is red/pink. And then the part protruding up from the flesh-tone skin is whiter than normal (this is 3 dimensional, like a cylinder, with the sides being whiter). There are actually 2 of these bumps making this configuration look like the figure 8. I'm running google searches...need help finding info. Suggestions? Would you take him to the doc??

Well I tore my ankle ligaments in July last year, so eight months ago. The swelling never fully went down. And I had physiotherapy on it. It has previously swollen up through running on uneven ground and long distance running, so I tend to avoid that. Today I have been playing football (soccer) and it is really painful right now at home. Also the inside of the same foot, going along the big toe side and slightly underneath is very painful. It is horrible to walk on and I am currently icing it. But I recieved no direct injury to it today. I may have landed awkwardly on it, but nothing that I was fully aware about or that was painful. So i could have made it worse by carrying on playing. What could it be? And what should I do?

So I fell down the stairs yesterday a.m. and have either bruised or fractured my tailbone. From other answers I read it sounds like going to the doctor is pointless other than better pain meds, is that the popular opinion? The doctor is my last resort so I am wondering if finding out that it is fractured would do anything for me other than a big hospital bill.

I've been having TMJ pain for about 3-4 weeks along with headaches & neck pain. Does anyone know any good exercises for relieving the pain and tension?? Also, does anyone know what kind of medical doctors treat TMJ? My insurance won't cover treatment from a dentist, only a medical doctor. Thanks! Cheryl

My husband is trying to quit and has been using the patch since January 3rd this year. He did great with the first step...then step 2 he had a cigarette thinking he could just have one. Then during step 3 which he is currently on, he's smoked every weekend.
I am curious if there are many people who quit using the patch? He is thinking about trying Chantix...has anyone used that and was successful? Or Zyban? Or the gum? Tell me what you used to quit. Thanks :)

I was just wondering - so if you did something gross lol - would washing your hands more than once actually make them any cleaner? (this is assuming that you wash them well the first time?)
Just wondering. Any evidence either way?

Ok Here is the deal. I do not have any health care. My household is currently spending over $1,000 per month on medication. We simply cannot afford it. It’s coming to the point of choosing between Meds and food!

I tried obtaining free medication through the "patient assistance" programs directly from the Pharmaceutical companies and, arrrrggg! It is so complicated! I have been waiting over 8 weeks and I still have not hear back from one of the RX companies, and I had to submit to 8 of them.

I have been told that there is a company out there that will process all of the information for you to streamline the process. I cant find anything on the web other then companies that just give you contact numbers to the Pharmaceutical companies.

Can anyone out there please help us??

....last Wednesday, I experienced a searing pain in the middle of the sole of my foot - in the arch - like someone was pushing a screwdriver handle into hard. It lasted only a couple of seconds but it stopped me in my tracks. Since then, my leg has felt stiff and sore and playing football has been difficult. Any ideas?

I recently developed hives and it became apparant that everytime I used the Ivory Lavender Dish Soap I was having a reaction. I usually only by the Dove Lavender Dish Soap and I grabbed the wrong soap about 2 weeks ago and didn't realize it until 2 days ago. They started marketing Ivory in an almost identical container. Well, I virtually eliminated all other items - food and chemical that I might have reactions to out of my life one at a time and the soap was the last to go. Last night = No Hives and still going. So, with the process of elimination out of the way, it appears the soap was the culprit. I have never been allergic to anything chemical in my life and do not have any food allergies as well. I find this remarkably strange and as I tried to look up the chemicals off the MRSP list, the only being ethanol alchol, which means they are not listing everything in the product, I cannot figure out which chemical in causing the problem....argh! Time to go organic with my cleaners now!

Please answer from experience.....?
Ok about 8 months ago, i had this little bit on my toe, went to the foot doctor and he gave me a shot and it was gone within a few days, also took some antibiodics, few days later i got this tingling and pins and needle sensation all over my body including, muscle weakness, headache, eye pain, floaters, fatigue, you name it, took brain and cervial spine mris, came back normal, cerival spine showed 3 bluging disks which the neuro said could not be the cause of my symptoms, after 2 months of this, it all went away except for the floaters, by surprise, now 8 months later i have the same exact symptoms and some more, burning feet and back, fatigue, bigtime muscle weakness, blurry vision, did another brain mri and it was normal, after brainstorming for months, im thinking this is either lyme even though my bite on my toe was small, or ms, what do you think????
