I care very much about what happens around me. I try to help poor people, stray and sick animals, etc, not because I have free time or money to spend, but because I can't help it. When I hear children in Africa are hungry or women imprisoned or stoned for adultery in Asia, or children molested, or baby seals skinned alive, I feel horrible. I mean it really affects me. Do I have a psychological problem or is it normal that when these horrible things happen I can't just look the other way, forget about them and enjoy myself?

I am 32 year old working mother with a stressful full time job, beautiful 4 year old and a husband.

I enjoy my job and love my family, but I always feel so busy and stressed on an evening I generally drink over a bottle of wine a night.

Over the past 4 years the amount I drink has steadily increased and I wonder if I am an alcoholic?

I generally have a glass of wine in my hand half an hour after I arrive in from work at 7pm - my husband works quite late several nights a week and so I oftern drink alone.

Sometimes I can have a bottle and not have a hangover in the morning and other times I have a hang over from hell - and I think people are starting to notice. It does not effect my performance at work but it does make me tired

Do either of these affect the 'seratonin' in my body? Is that what I need to get me out of this slight case of 'blues'? How long does it take to work if thats what I'm taking care of. Could someone explain 'seratonin' like I'm a child so that I can understand it ?

Pharmacist told me to take it at night, since it has the potential to knock you out. I only started taking it two nights ago, but I haven't slept much at all. I don't know if it's the drug, or if it's my anxiety about taking the drug (have had bad experiences in the past with psych meds).

Anyone on imipramine? When do you take it? What side effects did you experience initially?

Is the BMI really accurate? I play hockey 6 times a week (this weekend alone i'm on the ice 6 times in a four day span (tourny))
I go to the gym inbetween, I eat at best 1200 calories a day... And weigh 145. But anytime I check my BMI i've had a few say I'm obese and others say I'm other weight.

I'm 18, am I too heavy?

Is it really accurate? Half the time I tell people my weight they don't believe me because I look smaller.
