My husband is an engineer and computer scientist he is brilliant but he forgets everything. He forgets to put on deodorant, what he had for lunch ect... He was suppose to go to the doctor once a week to get a vitamin E injection and he kept forgetting.
So I went to a health food store and bought vitamin E pills.
I also got pure therapeutic grade peppermint essential oil. Smelling it promotes concentration. See the website below, it is the best oil I have used. You can diffuse the oil into the house. Also rosemary and sage also might help.
Keep your mind functioning at its peak by eating lots of fresh fruit and vegetables and whole grain foods, getting plenty of fresh air and sunshine and exercising regularly. Not so many chicken wings and McDonald's burgers, all that fat slows the mind.
Avoid smoking, excessive alcohol intake and other drugs. Keep your mind as active as possible.
Depression can make your memory worse are you depressed?
Also Ginkgo Biloba - You can but pills are Wal-Mart, GNC ect..
Also a regular sleep pattern. If you are tired you will not be able to remember things well. Try to set a pattern - go to sleep and wake up at he same time everyday.
And if you are going to forget what I wrote, write it down:)
Good Luck!

if you have poor memory and you dont want to see a doctor, the best way is to put or write something so you wont forget it. I used to put a masking tape and wrap it on my fingers and write the things that i need to do.

Your memory loss may be due to low blood sugar (metabolic syndrome - pre-diabetes). Mine was. Once I started learning about low blood sugar, what caused it and what I could do to level my blood sugars, my memory has improved.
Check out www.hufa.org for some basic info on low blood sugar. Check out the library link for the names of some books with good info on causes, and solutions.
