About 3 weeks ago, I noticed a red, patchy thing on my face just right of my nose. At first I thought it was going to be a pimple but then it reddened and the skin over it is dry and flaky. It is about the size of jelly bean and it won't go away. It is not pus filled or anything like that...just dry, flaky and red. It almost looks like a ringworm fungus I once had on my calf a few years ago. I have tried dabbing it with Neosporin, sloughing/scrubbing it really hard w/ my facial cleanser, rubbing in witch hazel about 20x a day, dabbing heavy with Eucerin, nothing is working. What is it and how do I get rid of it?

My mother is considering treatment with Dr. Burzynski and as her support person I am trying to get her additional information to help her make decisions related to her colon cancer, which has traveled to her lungs, and now bones. As a widow on Medicare, she is trying to make sound health and financial decisions. Is this clinic worth it?

i broke a small bone in my hand and its in a hard cast...its been in the cast for about 3 weeks and i know that its normal to have some pain on and off in the area of the break as it heals...it seems as though the pain has gotten more frequent, however, this week, which also happened to be the weekend i had my menstrual cycle....since this sometimes causes bloating/swelling in the extremeties, is it possible that perhaps the extra pain in my hand is caused by swelling in the hand that is putting pressure on the break, or is the flaring up of pain normal, or am i just being paranoid?

Alright here it goes...Two weeks ago I went to the Dr. to get my pap smear done. When she did the smear she said that my cervix bleed a little bit...because of this she wanted to do all types of test to make sure I didn't have an infection. All of the test came back negative...I am also assuming the pap test came back negative because I haven't heard anything. That night when I went home my period started...two days early...usually I am two days late...I need to add that about three days before all of this I started feeling like I was coming down with a cold...so that night when my period started I also got sick twice! I felt queezy for the next few days but that was it. Once my period stopped I started getting cramps in my stomach that feels like period cramps. I took a hpt and it came back negative. Has anyone ever experianced this? I was going to make a Dr. appointment if this doesn't go away soon. Any advice would help!

Why is my penis so small?

I've had numerous medical problems and surgeries with extended periods of pain and recovery. While I'm doing okay for now (knock wood....), I struggle with depression and anxiety over the past AND the likely future. My medical issues all result from treatment for cancer, over 23 years ago (!!), and I know I'm very fortunate to be doing as well as I am. But many of my surgeries have affected my self-esteem --- not just over body image, but also the overall "purpose" of my life. I'm working on living in the moment, and not mortgaging my future by worrying, but it's a lot easier said than done. Nutrition, laughter, and puppies have helped alot, but sometimes this marathon seems to have taken more from me than I have to give. Please help! (p.s. I'm not really depressed --- have enuf experience in THAT arena to be a freakin' expert --- but more resigned and stressed than sad.)

Ok, I am quite embarrassed to ask this and pray one of you girls out there has had this issue or know of someone who does/has, I know it is not real uncommon. I have a hairy butt, I feel like a man and it grosses me out. I'm sorry to be so forward but it is very embarrassing, what can I do to get rid of it that is not expensive? it hurts ot breath, sleep and walk most of the time and is consistant. The reason i have not gone ot the hospital or doctor is the closest one is almost 45 minutes away and the clinic here is only open 2 days a week. I do not htink it is life threatening but i was wondering if anyone else has had this and could provide me with something i can do. I am not on any medication and everything else seems normal.

They're are a lot of sick ppl in my school this semester. They're either coughing or sneezing. When they cough, they don't cover their mouths. What happen to good manners?

If they're sick, why don't they just stay home and take their medicine, but no, they have to be selfish and get others sick. I don't want to catch their sickness, but at the same time, I don't want to miss school.

My employer recently switched our HMO's from Blue Cross to Pacificare. Now all my co-pays have doubled, our specialists are miles away, rx's are twice as much or more, and lots of my kid's rx's (asmtha meds) are considered "non-formulary" according to PacifiCRAP and cost 40 bucks as opposed to 10 dollars when I had Blue Cross. Plus, everything needs to be pre-authorized. What the hell? I can't afford to pay these prices. Anyone else have problems with PACIFICRAP?

The radiation on my spine went through to the other side and made me get a brown sunburn like strip on my neck area. My whole head has the brown sunburn and its kinda peeling off. Does any one know around how long that lasts? When will it turn into new skin? Do you think it will scar?

i am scared to leave my home every sence a stranger was following me. i did go to classes in all but i want to work and im a scared to go look for a job. this hurts because i need more income rather than the ssi i have. people tell me to get over it but i can't i feel the same way they do!is there a work at home job that makes good money without leaving your house is there special programs.pleasessss help
