Just about all you can do is stay out of their way as best you can of course and make sure that you wash your hands frequently and of course the obvious not drinking or eating after anyone else and drink plenty of OJ and take some vitamins..tell them to at the very very least to cover their mouth!

Unfortunately, there is no way to avoid the germs. If your immune system is healthy, you should stay well. Remember to wash your hands, eat healthy, and get plenty of rest. People should stay home when they are sick, but sometimes that isn't an option. Maybe they have a test, or something else that they couldn't miss. Germs are everywhere.

I agree, I get people coughing and not covering their mouths and I work in an emergency department!! I just say it str8..."Cover your mouth mate, coz even my 2 year old knows her manners to keep her dirty germs to herself!"
Otherwise, just have to try sit elsewhere from them, and wash your hands before eating and after the toilet, this will stop the spread through contact, but not airborne germs :(
Also, cover yourself by eating good foods, build your immunity. Drink good fluids too, plenty of water and some 100% fruit juices.

To try to avoid getting sick, you can get the flu shot and wash your hands before eating. Keep your hands away from your face too. If sneezing or coughing encourage others to cough into their arm rather then their hands that they touch everything with.

wash your hands a couple times a day and try not to touch your eyes or mouth. you can get cough drops called cold-eeze that can help your immune system stay strong. and the rest of the basics: take a multi-vitamin, eat healthy, and get your sleep. the rest is basically luck - but you can do what you can to stay healthy and ready to fight of you are around sick people at school. good luck!

Ask your parents to buy you some "Airborne" from the drug store and take it everyday, while everybody is sick. It's just vitamins and such, nothing that hurts normal healthy people. Then, if you can get used to it, look up neilmed.com and buy a sinus rinse from the drug store, use it everyday or 2 times a day like brushing your teeth. The Sinus Rinse REALLY helps keep the germs from accumulating.

Just where a filter mask over or your nose and mouth and wash your hands often. People will think you are the one who is ill but they will leave you alone.

Where one of those masks doctors use. Who cares what people think. When I was stationed in Korea, the people there wore them out in public when they were sick to prevent them from getting others sick.

take one pill of zinc per day, one echinachea and one golden seal and a daily vitamin and extra vitamin c and keep hand sanitizer in your purse. the vitamins will increase your immune system.. do this for a week then skip a week then again. off and on and hopefully you wont get sick.

Stop being so afraid. Just because someone coughed doesnt mean your going to get cancer. Grow a set and deal with it
