I've been diagnosed as clinically depressed with PTSD and am also DID and it keeps screwing up my life. My girl has decided to put on the brakes in our relationship because I broke her trust and never intended to. Now she says that as much as she loves me, she's not sure the relationship will survive. I love her more than life and will do anything to make things right. I'm so tired of being so wrong no matter how hard I try to be right. I'm not even sure how things happened the way they did - it was like I was a spectator instead of a participant and that usually only happens when one of my alters is in control but I know none of them were..........unless there's one I don't know about.

New adjunct chemo cures twice as many people with cancer and has been shown to increase tolerance to chemo so everybody can take their medicine.
Yet, I have been attacked for posting these promising medical studies.
The medicine is real and the results are real too!
Any idea why medical professions have a negative sentiment to a new cure?

Novelos has announced positive results of a phase I/II trial of NOV-002, for the treatment of non-small cell lung cancer. The drug is currently approved in Russia, where it is marketed as Glutomix. Intent-to-treat analysis indicated that 69% (11/16) of subjects receiving intravenous (IV) and subcutaneous (SC) NOV-002 in combination with chemotherapy achieved objective (complete or partial) tumor response, vs. 33% (5/15) receiving chemotherapy alone (p=0.044). Subjects receiving NOV-002 via IV and intramuscular (IM) injection plus chemotherapy experienced a non-significant 46% (6/13) objective response rate. The drug also produced improved tolerance of chemotherapy in both dosing groups, with 100% of the IV/SC and 85% of the IV/IM subjects completing 4 cycles of chemotherapy, vs. 50% of subjects receiving chemotherapy alone (p=0.004). This randomized, controlled study enrolled 44 patients, who received one of two regimens of NOV-002 (IV/SC or IV/IM) plus chemotherapy or chemotherapy alone for 6 months. The company announced plans to initiate phase II/III trials of the drug in 2006, based on these results.

I know it may sound dumb, but I was wondering about it. I'm 16 and I have a full set of false teeth. I haven't been to a dentist since a little after I got them a couple years ago and I was wondering if gum disease is a problem for people that don't have any teeth.

My mom is 51 years old and 162lb. She has been doing a Herbal One program for 2 years now. She's spent about $3000 and has only dropped about 5 lbs ( that's all she has kept off). I told her to stop spending the money and start eating right, exercising. . . stuff like that. But what's a healthy way to eat right. It seems that stuff low in fat is high in carbs and sugar and vise versa. Please help us get an idea of where to start. Web-sites would help too.

we had mutual consent divorce 2 yrs back. my daughter has never stayed with me since birth. and now she is getting unmanagable for my ex-wife. i have been diagnosed as having borderline personality disorder (BPD) last year (history of physical abuse in childhood). some of the traits of BPD can be inherited, and my daughter seems to have picked up the worst from me. while i have undergone therapy, it's distressing to see my daughter having these characteristics at such a young age. i emphathise with my ex-wife but beyond that there's not much i can do from long distance. we are both doctors (i'm obstetrician & she's paediatrician) and at wit's end. any child psychologist here?
my 4 yr daughter beats up everyone at her home (uses stick)- ex-wife & in-laws, pulls their hair, bites them, screams as if someone is hurting her. it's embarassing for them (neighbours hear). if not allowed to beat them, she bangs her head on walls and bites herself. they pacify her for fear of self-mutilation

I tried contacts for the first time a week ago and I love them but they really irritate my eyes, they are sore, dry and feel like they have an eyelash in them. I've cleaned my contacts and there's nothing in them! I have ACUTE ASTIGMATISMS in both eyes, apparently for a few years, but my opth. NEVER TOLD ME UNTIL TODAY... he says it's not bad enough that I need special contacts, but these regular ones (acuvue advance) really IRRITATE MY EYES. I want to keep wearing contacts, does anyone have ANY SUGGESTIONS? Thank you so much in advance to anyone willing to HELP ME!!! ^_^

I've been having trouble getting to sleep recently. There's nothing on my mind, but even when I go to bed really early, I'm just wide awake and don't end up sleeping until about 2 or 3am. As a result, I can't get up in the morning when I need to and I'm really tired all day. I'd love to hear your tips for getting off to sleep but I'd rather not try sleeping pills yet!

I had a cold last week and I needed to take a flight. At one point during the flight my head felt like it was going to explode due to the pressure and I did the trick of holding my nose, closing my mouth and blowing. Unfortunately from what I have since read, I blew as hard as I could...way beyond the recommeded 'gentle' level recommended. My flight was over a week ago and my cold has mostly gone away, but it feels like my ears are constantly popping. I have tried gum, yawning, a decongestant (Day-Quil), trying to flush it out in the shower and nothing has seemed to help. Should I contact my doctor? I am not sure if I am being paranoid or if I actually caused damage to my ear.

I have a darling chihuahua that I thought had been scratched by the cat on top of her head. I've been feeling a rough spot. Then, last night I saw it was a perfectly circular lesion. I just KNOW that this scrawny kitten my son brought home twenty three days ago is the cause, but my son says he doesn't think so as it would have shown up way before this. Also, the kitten doesn't appear to have ringworm although her fur isn't exactly luxurious. Do you think new kitten could be the cause? Just seems too coincidental that we've never had ringworm problems until this new kitten enters the household.

I exercise most days so this is not the cause of my weight, but i eat a bad diet. I would really appricate it if someone wrote me a healthy eating plan for each meal for each day in a week. I am in my teens and have tried to lose weight, but am failing and my confidence is dropping, if someone gave me a plan, i would stick to it and it would help an awful lot. Thank You.

If exercise causes "micro tears" in muscle and in the process of repairing these the muscle grows, why doesn't stretching the muscle have the same effect?

I was told once by a chiropractor that this was possible and when I looked at the x-rays I could see what she was talking about...however, I cannot find any information about it online. It is supposed to be characterized by extra bone that resembles the beginning formation of another vertebrate, but is not fully developed. They are usually found at the very top of the cervical vertebrae and at the very bottom of the lumbar. They are not supposed to be too serious, but an annoyance that will give you continued back and neck pain. Any ideas from anyone?
