My mom is 51 years old and 162lb. She has been doing a Herbal One program for 2 years now. She's spent about $3000 and has only dropped about 5 lbs ( that's all she has kept off). I told her to stop spending the money and start eating right, exercising. . . stuff like that. But what's a healthy way to eat right. It seems that stuff low in fat is high in carbs and sugar and vise versa. Please help us get an idea of where to start. Web-sites would help too.

There are many healthy ratios, and no one will work for every person, depending on things like metabolism and activity levels.

I eat 60% carbs, 25% protein, and 15% fats, while avoiding refined sugars and refined grains.

I use a (not free) software called DietPro to plan meals for the week.

Doing that volume of exercising, you want extra energy surprisingly at your age. do not bypass on a strict eating routine once you're nonetheless turning out to be, that's no longer strong for you. I actually have journey. I went on a 1200 calorie eating routine at the same time as i become 15, and that i have not grown a lot because of it, and that i have somewhat any muscular tissues. attempt to eat round 1800 energy to competently drop some pounds, and don't be disturbed about carbs, proteins and fat, they are all mandatory, so merely eat a stability of each and every thing and also you'd be advantageous. strong substances of protein, when you're suffering to locate it, are: Meat Fish Eggs Peanut butter Nuts Milk Yoghurts Porridge some breads. wish that facilitates :) strong success!!

To eat right is very simple. Just ditch all the processed crap you buy from the grocery store, all the fried food and all soft drinks. Go to the produce section and finds vegetables that she enjoys to eat and fruit to snack on. Don't drink while eating meals and take 30 minute walks 3-5 times a week. Should be enough.

Well low carb is the fastest way for sure. But you need portion control. you are 80% what you eat, 20% exercise. That old saying you are what you eat is so true. Lot of veggies and protein!

Have her check this stuff out called Isagenix my aunt is on it and she was 170lbs and she lost almost 40lbs in 2months most of the stuff she had in her body was just gunk, I've started using it for my energy because I been feeling tired and it's working. I certainly don't need to lose weight but they have a long line of products. And of course your mom needs to exercise :) Make sure she does. You can't just lose weight without exercising, otherwise don't you get that flabby skin. Ew.

My diet is low carb and my doctor and a dietitian planned it for me. I eat mainly salad greens, vegetables and protein.
