My husband just had surgery yesterday to repair his retina.The problem is we are to fly out next week(7 days) to disney world.We live in new york and its a 2 yr direct flight.His doctor advised him not to fly but we have planned this trip for months.Can any one please tell us what can happen if we decided to go?We really can't postpon the trip as we love going at chrismas time.Is it worth the chance or should we just cancel?

I had a cavity filled about a month ago and it was deeper than they thought and they actually ended up drilling into the nerve part a little bit. Now it is extreemly sensitive to hot and cold, especially cold. It is actually quite painful when anything hot or cold touches that tooth. Is there anything I can do to help that tooth not be so sensitive (short of having a root canal, which they did tell me I might have to do because of the depth of the cavity, but only if it develops an ache). I doubt that the toothpaste for sensitive teeth would work on something like this.....has anyone had this problem? What worked for you?

The illness started on November 6th with extreme diaherra and vomitting, but no fever. This lastest for 3 weeks. We took him to the doctor and they kept telling me it was a virus. Well, the diaherra and vomitting stopped and he now has a high fever of 104 and no energy. We took him back to the doctor and did mono tests, pnemonia X-rays, and urinalysis. They all came back normal, but the doctor says that the white blood cell count is elevated. What does this mean and why can we not control the fever with adult strength tylenol and motrin(per the doctor). We have been in and out of the hospital to rehydrate him through IV's and even followed up with a GI doctor, which said everything looks good to him, but it his diaherra and vomitting got worse to bring him back in. What steps should we take next. The poor child is sick of being sick. We as parents are exhausted from worrying and being up late nights with him. Any nurses or doctors advise would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

my last wisdom tooth is coming in and all the others came in just fine with plenty of room but this one seem to be hurting more than the others (the others really had no pain). anyways the tooth isnt coming in perfectly straight but the back (back top) of the tooth is a little higher. not so much pain, motrin as worked fine. so do i have to go to dentist or is it ok ?

I have recently returned from a trip to Hong Kong, i was feeling when i entered the airport and boarded my plane. But the during the flight i had devloped a running nose and coughing spazms. When i got off i became dizzy, felt ill. it's gotten better, but in the last hour the syptoms came back (I've started to cough blood) and now it's getting worse. I don't want to tell my family because they'd get worried. DOES ANYONE KNOW WHAT'S WRONG WITH ME??? please help, i really hope this just a normal cold and that i'll get better.

I've been having an allergy on my nose since young. I can't get too close and long with dust and animals. When my allergy starts I have to take medicine for weeks before it finally gets back to normal. What's worst, it came several time when I was just about to go for a holiday! Does anyone have any idea how to cure it? It'd be best if the remedy is simple and doesn't cost much money. Is there any food which is good in curing it?

Well, Last week I got these old dressers and me and my dad started sanding them and he painted them before he went to work, and it was going to rain on the weekend, so mom says put them in the house, so I put them in my room, and I was cleaning and stuff for like over 5 hours with them in the room, smelling the strong paint I also had the windows open. And then my sinuses started swelling up, and my throat started to feel like a soar throat even though I have had my tonsils taken out, and I had a headache, I was just really tired from a long day.And I'm the type of peron who is really active and likes to do alot of stuff. And I was sick for about three days with a soar throat, and a runny nose, and I know it was from that paint. Now I notice that I cant concentrate on alot of things, like when I watch t.v I just zone out, and when someones talking to me, I zone out, or I'll forget what I was talking about. It's just not me. What do I do? Am I going to get better? I'm really worried

My cat got bit a few days ago and we're going to take him to the vet but in the meantime i'm not sure what to do. He got bit by the ear and his whole face is swolen... i rubed his cheek and puss came out of his bite. i then rubbed his whole face and it came shooting out with blood and puss. We can't get him to the vet fast enough. What kind of infection do you think it is?

40y femal. Fasting Blood glocose 90-100. BG stikes after meals to 160-220. HbgA1c 5.3. BMI 21.7. Is monitoring BG enought with diet and work out??? At want point is what medication indicated??? Try to keep low profil.

I miscarried once and had an ectopic (tubal) pregnancy once. The guy that I miscarried with was very rough with me in bed. I just feel that he caused some damage. I never had an STD either. I actually thought it would becaome easier to deal with as I got older, but it hasn't. I have a hard time in relationships where the man has kids. I feel so left out. Anyone else ever felt this way? Invitro was way too expensive so I had to accept my fate.

I developed bulimia right before turning 13. It slowed my growth to an inch per year and I never got my period. I think it stunted my growth because everyone in my family is much taller than I am (my mid parent height is 2 inches taller than I) I am eating healthily now, calcium supplements also. Did I stunt my growth, and if I did, can I catch up?
