I gave up smoking over five years ago now but it still has not stopped me from getting emphysema i can't prove it is smoking related but it has taken 5 years to surface,
I also get recuring plurisy which each time seems to get worse infact i have just come out of hospital today after the antibiotics and steriods that my doctor prescribed did not seem to work this time, The hospital has put me on 2 types of stronger antibiotics as well as steroids this time.
I am getting some strange feelings in my body but relize that i must carry on with this course of treatment.

So to your that say you cant stop smoking STOP now before it is to late seek help if you have to it is avalibale to you all.
This disability will affect me for the rest of my life,
and it aint fun i can assure you.

I'm going away for a week with my family in 2 weeks. but my problem is im due for my period soon. i'm afraid I will have it the entire time I'm on vacation. Which is not much of a vacation at all. I'm hoping to have it next week so it will be over before we leave. So my question is, is there anything I can do so that it won't come when i'm on vaction or make it come within the next few days?? any help is greatly appreciated!!

hi i'm 13 and a 32B/C chest i'm 5'3'' and i weigh 125 pounds
my friend has just turned 14 she is also 5'3'' and weighs 115 pounds but yet she has a 34E chest
is it me thats normal or her or both of us?

I took two antibiotics. I have been off the Amoxicillin 500mg that I took for seven days for at least three months. I was also put on Bactrim DS 800-160 TAB for seven days to kill E. Coli. I have been off that for a couple of weeks now. Did these two short-term antibiotics that I took kill all of my "friendly" bacteria? If they did not, how fast and how long does the "friendly" bacteria come back after it has been killed by and antibiotic? Oh yeah, I have been eating yogurt and kefir everyday.

Chest pains gerd anxiety?

has anyone woke up with numb hand a little arm pain shortness of breath and like sharp pressure chest pain in the center towards left not all over.I have had ekgs blood test and chest xray diagnosed gerd also like food stuck in throat i also have gad generalized anxiety disorder.

I'm a white female in my mid thirties. Over the past 2 years my IOP has went up. 2 years ago it was around 23 or so. Took a visual fields test-that came back ok. The doc didn't give me exact numbers at my most recent appointment, just said the pressure had went up & wants me back in a month for another pressure reading & to take pictures of the inside of my eyes for benchmarking. Asked if there were any vitamins or anything I could do nutrition wise to lower the pressure, he said that there's nothing-glaucoma is not preventable, but is treatable. Read that vitamin c can help & I had been taking about 2 grams a day for a month before my appointment. Have no family history (adopted), work at a computer full time & wonder if eye strain could contribute. Have no other health issues. Only med I take is birth control.What pressure point will damage to the optic nerve start to occur? Any natural remedies? Anyone know somebody who's had success with anything other than prescription drops?

ive recently discovered that i have endometriosis. my dr has suggested starting hormone pills. what kinds of effects will i have? low sex drive? weight gain? i will put up with the severe cramps w/ pain killers if i have to. Dr also suggested surgery, has anyone ever had surgery to remove growths?
