are struggling to breathe over there??

well if you havent been to the doctor yet GO!
if you have then its probably not a bad split and it will grow together in bout 4-6 weeks so limit excessive movement in that area eg. trunk rotation or unilateral arm movements-do bilateral ones instead.

living with this is gonna be painful tho!

1. Crime: Denver is not by any means very dangerous compared to other cities. I've lived in Denver for four years. I'm a skinny non-intimadating white dude and I feel safe walking anywhere in the actual City of Denver (FYI, I feel more at-risk in suburbs like Aurora than I do in the actual city). I go to bars and restaurants in all the alleged "bad" areas like Five Points, Federal, Colfax and no crimes have ever been comitted against me. I've never been mugged and my car has never been broken into. Yes, there are sometimes minorities and homeless people present (which makes some people FEEL uncomfortable), but I've never encountered anything "dangerous." 2. The light rail is indeed relatively crappy compared to other cities with rail systems I've lived in such as Chicago and NYC. It's only good if you're traveling to/from downtown to the south suburbs. The bus system is good. You will probably WANT a car even though you don't need one. The traffic is bad during rush hour, but no worse than any other city I've lived in.

Have you considered surgery? Many people live with that. Just have to be very careful not to get hit. You could wear a shield. My dad had heart surgery, they split his sternum but wired it back together, I would think they could wire yours together. Good luck and be careful.
