Good move to stop smoking. The only thing I could think that is making the noise might be your "uvula" which is the small appendage which hangs down at the back of the throat. This could be enlarged (from the smoking) and may be sticking and releasing to the throat when you swallow. If it persists get it checked out. Never go back to the weed, you will not regret quitting.

How long ago did you quit smoking? I just read an article about the changes that your body goes through after quitting, and it was amazing. One of the things mentioned was your throat and mouth. Your sore throat is probably from the mucus membranes healing in your throat and mouth. Congrats to you for quitting, I'm still working at it, and jealous of you. lol

Your lighter???

Nah, it doesn't sound related to smoking to me, I quit some years ago didn't have anything like that though.

Well done for quitting, 20 years later and me smoking again!

Yea, go to the doctor. If it is concerning you enough to ask about it here, you should get it checked out....
Good luck.
