fianlly one told me it was sciatica, that something was pushing on the nerve. And the Dr I see now agrees that the symtoms I describe sound like sciatica. But when they take an MRI all they come up with is degenerative disc disease. Are they the same thing? Otherwise I am confused.

What is it about alcohol that interacts with so many prescription medications? Is it really unsafe? How many drinks are too much and what could be the reaction? I am taking Cymbalta, Diclofenac and Cyclobenzaprine for Arthritis, herniated lumbar disks and Fibromyalgia. Is a glass or two of red wine with dinner really unadvisable?

I am trying to get an answer to this problem from everyday people. If you know of someone else can you tell me about it. There is debate about wether it is real or not. I really want to know how many others out there have had no symptoms before being affected this way by cannabis use. If there was anything else that affected it please tell me also.

Scenario: Daughter's bf has disassociative disorder; I babysit the two boys ages under five years while they work and for no pay. If I get or ever got paid, little amount times long interval; goes back to kids. He displayed manic period, abuse toward me! Inside and outside, duration about 30 minutes. I refuse to be around him. He is threatening terrorism, unlawful restraint, and me doing hostage by not comming to fence and giving him kids. My husband does it; he mentioned if he was not around to do/ the results would be the above..I want to get a PFA (verbal and emotional abuse). I would never hurt the kids. Manic episodes are getting closer together. Then he complains that people do not want around him; his actions are moronic but displays periods of intelligence when on a high. I am disgusted with whole picture. Pros and Cons please...If he does above will police even question me? How does an individual handle maniacs?

Root canal and permanent crown finished over 2 months ago. The bite on the crown has been adjusted and is perfect. Sensitive sometimes painful to bite and has a semi constant ache. Root canal was done by an endodontist. I have been to my dentist, the endodontist that performed the root canal, and another endodontist and all three see nothing wrong in the xrays, and can find no signs of infection. I was prescribed antibiotics just to see, and there has been no change. The endodontist that did the work has offered to redo the root canal (no charge) and see if that helps. He was grim in his prospects however, and says all the symptoms sway towards a crack, and another rc may infact make it worse. All three agreed that a cracked tooth will have to be extracted. My question is, is it worth the second root canal, or should the tooth just be extracted now to end the problems? Is there any other possibilities?

I have been on Depo Provera for about 8 years now. One of the side affects is a total halt in your menstrual cycle. This has happened to me. I have people telling me things on both sides. That there's nothing bad about it and I will just hit menopause later. I have others saying it's not healthy and I should choose an alternative method. The only thing my Dr. warned me about was osteoperosis and since I take calcium supplements and don't have a history of it in my family, not to worry about that. I've done the research and talked to my Dr. I just want to know what the general thought about this is.

I'm looking for a good cardio exercise (a couple would be great) that I can do in my apartment with little to no equipment. I tried to take up running but there's no way I can convince myself to get outside in 35 degree weather. Jumping rope isn't going to work because the space isn't big enough, and I have downstairs neighbors who probably wouldn't appreciate the noise anyway.

Any ideas?

I recently heard news that alpha lipoic acid is a great anti-aging supplement. I have also heard reports about a new supplement called resveratrol that has been found to dramatically increase the lifespan in yeast cells. Although going from increasing the lifespan in yeast cells to increasing it in humans is a huge jump can you give me any advice on supplements that have been proven to extend the human lifespan besides basic anti-oxidants.
