Go buy a hot water bottle with the douche attachment..and just use plain water...but remember its always a good ideal to sit in the bath tub and soak instead of taking a shower all the time..

If the smell is unusual and stronger than normal then I would first go to a OBGYN to get checked out for any infections. Causes for strong or foul odor are not only yeast infections but also STD's and bacterial infections. Sometimes medications can change vaginal odor as well.
But if you are healthy you've been checked out and it is your normal scent...some people have a more noticeable smell depending and their menstrual cycle/ hormonal balance. If it is not foul I wouldn't worry about just wash as normal.
They say the best thing to use to wash with is nothing but water. You can also add a few tablespoons of baking soda to your bathwater to soak in which would help the smell and if the smell is caused by sweat. In that case I would also wear cotton underwear ( which is suggested by doctors for normal health anyway), they have cuter styles at Victoria Secrets these days :-)

A normal healthy vagina does not have a strong or fishy smell. Strong odors from this area can be a sign of an infection. It is normal to have a dishcharge of clear, egg white like consistency during the middle of your cycle when you ovulate. When the discharge comes in contact with air and sweat, it can have an odor. You can use panty shields to help with that problem (not deodorant shields as many are sensitive to the perfumes in them). If you are having such a strong odor that you are concerned, make an appointment with your OB/GYN or at your local clinic or Planned Parenthood to make sure everything is okay.

Strong odor does not suggest a yeast infection. With yeast infections, it's odorless with some other symptoms. Douching though can cause a yeast infection...or so I've read. It's not normal though to have a strong odor. You may need to see your doctor to rule out other possible causes.

While its not as popular as it used to be, it is still done and recommended by some OB-GYN doctors. If you have taken certain medications, or even antibiotics, you could have a yeast infection.
The important thing is go see your doctor and get treatment. Making a general diagnosis via the Internet is not the best thing to do. If it worked, I could sit at home all day and do this and not have to go to work.

Guess I come from the old school. I would continue to douch with a mild vinegar douch. Maybe not too often.

It could be caused by a bacterial infection. See your doctor as I know there are antibiotics that will cure that.
