I was curious if anyone knows the process in finding out if my child has add? What do they test. If he has it do they put him on meds? Is there any alternatives to meds? Any down falls to meds? Thanks in advance.

about 2 and a half years ago. The tooth started getting darker and all my dentist did was use bonding over it to make it white. It worked its white.. But after reading all the other post.. is my tooth going to break?

I was diagnosed with endometriosis several years ago and had 2 laparoscopic surgeries so far to have adhesions removed. My most recent surgery was in June. My question is, I keep having this really bad pain that begins AFTER my period and lasts (constant) for about 5 to 7 days. I go to the emergency room every month the day after my period but all they do is give me pain meds and send me home. I have seen several doctors and have done so much research but can't find ANYTHING even closely matching my symptoms. I want to know if anyone else with Endometriosis is experiencing pain on the lower left side of your pelvic area and ONLY occuring AFTER menses? I am DESPERATE!! If this sounds familiar or if you know anyone who has these symptoms please respond. Doctors have not been able to find the reason for this pain. The surgery in June should have stopped the pain but it only seems worse.

I feel terrible about not having any remorse. I have done things that are morally wrong and yet I dont feel remorse for them. The only thing I do feel guilt about is that I know I should feel bad about these things but I dont. I don't feel that I am a psyhcopath but yet I think this could be mental, any opinions on what it could be?

I only drink 2-3 times/month. I'm a very responsible 30 year old father of 3 (recently divorced) and 95% of my time is spent raising my 3 daughters or working. However, when I go out I seem to drink to the point of near blackout or total blackout (depending on who I'm with). It's like I can't feel the affects of the alcohol until I'm way over the top. Somehow I manage to make it through the night safely but God only knows how I got from place to place or what I spent my money on. Would like to hear of some similar cases or some advice from a counselor or someone in a similar position.
BTW, I am in no way phisically or emotionally addicted to alcohol. I only drink socially while out with friends/girlfriend, etc.

My husband diagnosed 3 years as Bi-Polar, been unmedicated since bad reactions to previously perscribed anti-psychotics. Is now (Today) starting Lithium after a mild manic period. Was encouraged by responses to previously posted question (Thank you again). Other than dry-mouth and needing to stay hydrated, keep a routine and avoid alcohol...
What have been your experiences, reaction, side effects of Lithium in respect to Bi-polar?

I have gotten a few bruises that I thought to be minor that have taken a very long time to fade away. I havent always had this problem. Is there a logical explanation for the extended period of time that my bruises are lasting?

Sorry about the yucky topic... but both of my big toes have been a bit puffy and sore -- for some time now, and I'm wondering if the cause is an ingrown nail. (My family has a history of bad experiences with podiatrists, so I guess I've put this off...)
My big toes hurt even to the slightest touch -- both hurt in the same place: the inside corner (and side) of the nail... (I just try to ignore any pain and not let anything touch the sore spots!) Anyone experience this in your big toe? Anyone with an ingrown toenail? What were your symptoms?

but am i Suicidal? I like the feel of pain, such as getting burned at work and the terrible feeling of the blood rushing back through my legs after sitting on them for a couple of hours. I think about how peaceful death is and wish i had that peace. Yes i am in counsiling and seeing a phycatrist and taking prozac on a very low dosage. I have been having terrible dreams for every night for the past 10 years. I have talked to my parents, but they just don't seem to understand me. I read all the time as an escape from the world, i don't have many friends because when i was younger i was harassed by the kids. I find trusting anyone to be a big problem. Though i wish for death i don't want to kill myself, though i wish some car or something would just hit me. Any suggestions?

normally till you can walk after such an injury? and will i be able to wear normal shoes?

i'm guessing wearing heals is a no no ;-( - i'm gutted coz i've been cooped up in the house for the last 5 weeks and i wanna go out and celebrate but i'm not sure when i'll be able to walk and stuff!
