I went running on Sunday for about 6 miles (10 km) at a 7:30-minute mile pace. Since then, the nail on my big toe on my right foot has been incredibly sore. Sometimes it feels loose. What causes this? Any remedies? I'm going to be a bridesmaid this weekend; should I avoid wearing high-heeled shoes?

My daughter had blood tests last week for coelliac disease. I phoned for the results today and they say that I have to speak to the doctor tomorrow. When I have had blood tests in the past if they were clear they have told me over the phone so am I too assume that she has it because I have to see the doctor. This is really worrying me as not knowing is worse than knowing.
Obviously the doctor is the only one to give me the results but all sorts of things are going through my head and if I can start to deal it now it would help me prepare better for tomorrow.

My period for the past few months has been weird. At one time, I skipped a month and it came back, then the next month I was spotting, then it went away, and came back about a week later. Just a few days ago I started to spot (mostly discharge), and now it's gone after 2 days. I'm not pregnant because I have tested myself over and over again. I do think it may be stress related, I have a lot of problems going on with my life right now. Does anyone have any answers why my period is so screwed up? Thank you for your input.

This is my sons report from his cardiologist,I am not sure what the following statements mean. "there is mild aortic stenosis with a maximal velocity of 2.17 meters per second and extimated peak gradient of 18 mmHg & a mean gradient of 6.9 mmHg. There is mild aortic insufficiency, the width of the jet at the level of the valve is actually quite narrow, the jet does fan out iin certain views to the left outflow tract. no flow reversal within aortic arch in diastole. The acsending aorta is dilated. The remainder of the exam in unremarkable. There are no restrictions however very isometric sports will not be suggested as he gets older." Can someone put this into terms for me if you know. THANKS!!!

I'm an 18 year old male, I'm very fit - much fitter than most of my peers. I practice Taekwon-do. I can do many crunches and leg raises without much of a problem, and can do 73 consecutive pushups.

However, for some reason I can't seem to be able to do situps unless there's weight at my legs. It's both very frustrating and embarrassing when we have to do them together in the dojang and I'm the only one unable to do even one. What can I do to fix this? Or alternatively, what could be the problem?

I frequently get UTI's and I usually drink cranberry juice (it's the right kind) and extra water for them. This usually helps. But today I noticed some bloody tissue in my urine. It was quite painful to go. But why did I get that this time? Is it a bladder or kidney infection? I have no back pain, so I'm guessing that rules out kidney infection and my bladder does feel a bit swollen and is painful when I sit down and get up. I was reading up on bladder infections and it didn't say anything about tissue coming out. Could this be something else?

I have been having toothaches for about a week now. And I decided to find out what tooth it was coming from by pressing on my tooth. Well, I found out I can stick my fingernail between my tooth and the gum. And everyday it just seemd to be getting worse and the gum is pulling itself more away from my tooth. In my family is a known Tooth deciese that causes this. But my mother says there is nothing that can be done.
Is there anything that can be done?

Thanks for the help

I have a partner and he gets off after about 5 or 10 minutes. I, on the other hand, need a bit longer. I know all men are different, but is that usual? And, this happens every time. I tell him it's no big deal, because, I think it may be stress--he's trying too hard to do a good job and I do not want to put anymore pressure on him or hurt his feelings. Can you give me any more information or advice? Also, I am not sure if this maybe affects anything, but he has an extreme curve in his penis to the right side...could that have anything to do with it?

I just got over a cold about 2 weeks ago. I wasn't able to go to the Dr. then. I am still wheezing in the morning and at night. I made an appointment but it isn't until Nov 13. I was wondering if my symptoms go away can the still tell me if I had asthma or bronchitis. I seem to get bronchitis everytime I get a cold. But I was wondering if its something else. I did have asthma as a child but out grew it. I also wheeze if I cough or laugh a lot. So I was wondering is the way to tell if its asthma if my symptoms go away?

I was in a motorbike crash in january and was very badly injured. I broke 19 bones. I have made a good recovery but still have problems with my right hand. the most notice able is that my little finger has fused. the bones wer all smashed and have heald in to 1 bone. this means i cannot move my little finger. My doctor has recomended i have it removed as i tend to catch it in doors and draws. the only reason to keep it is for cosmetic reasons. i know i will find things easyer with out it in the way but cutting off a finger is a big move. what should i do?

The last time i ever caught a taxi by myself was when i went off to my mothers, due to domestics between me and my bf,i felt depressed at the time and the taxi driver was a little concerned and asked me questions,so i answered him,at the time i was depressed i just told him how my bf was verbally abusing me.So he said to me....hey if you ever need a job just ring me up....We have mothers of your age who are in the same situation and struggle in life single mothers financially,he gave me his card and told me well all you do basically is massage oldmen and whatever they do is up to them..........He stated in a rude way if he touches you.......then just tell him your uncomfortable about it......that minute of thoughts made me think this was a sexual job.He told me the prices he said you get $50 bucks a day. Then i just got scared and said ok ill be willing to do it.He said ill ring you up tomorrow.Youll be here right?i said ok,but i wasnt sure, cause i didnt want anything to happen to me.
