Spinach, collard greens, lentils, broccoli and chickpeas all provide more iron than meat. People who feel you need meat to be healthy are terribly misinformed.

Iron is one of those things Vegan's can have a hard time getting. you should consider something like a 1 a day suplement. but as for foods, You could stick with a lot of the greener vegi's like Asparagus and Spinach. both are high in Iron. You should also read up on Vegitarian Diets because it's important to stay balanced once you cut meat out of your diet. Protiens are very important too, luckily we have tofu...
good luck

being a vegetarian, you must be eating lots of Salad and stuff which have iron.. the main deficiency for a vegetarian is proteins, and a few rich sources would be lentils, beans, and soya product you need to add some of these to your regular meals to compliment for the meat..

Green vegetables, the greener the better like spinach, kale, broccoli and Brussels sprouts. If you were not a vegetarian I would say beef liver. You might also think of taking supplements.

How do you know that its iron that you need? I'm not being awkward but there could be loads of other essential nutrients that are lacking that could cause problems. It can be very dangerous to self diagnose and treat. See a doctor, he can run blood tests to see what the cause of your weakness is.

Liver! Green leafy veggies! Broccoli, spinach, greens, etc. Wouldn't hurt you to take a supplement like Slow FE....if you really don't want to eat meat.

You really should eat meat, especially red eat. It is very good for you.
If you insist on subjecting yourself to a life without meat, then eat plenty of spinach. I recommend cooking it with feta cheese. Great combo.
