I am a meat eater, but I am also all for animal rights and against cruelty to animals. Recently (I dont know how old this really is) I read about some people from PETA who took baby animals from a no kill shelter, killed them, and dumped them in a dumpster... this sickened me and now I am completely anti-PETA, so as usual when I decide to hate someone I did my research and saw PETA is launching a campaign against KFC for the way the chicken farms that they use treat the chickens. If there is anyone else out there who knows about this, can you please tell me why they are so anti KFC and not Anti-tyson.. who is actually the sole provider of KFC chicken?

I am just curiose as to why some people choose the vegan lifestyle. Plants are living things too, how can you still eat them??? How did you decide that it is better to kill a tomato than to drink a glass of milk where nothing was killed?

I love chocolate chip cookies, and I'm gradually moving from vegetarianism to veganism, but of course cookies require eggs and butter.

I know that people who eat fish are not strictly vegetarian, but why do vegetarians have such a problem with it? Isn't it better to at least not eat some types of meat than to eat all meats? One vegetarian friend once told a fish-eater that "there is no point being vegetarian if you don't do it properly". This almost made him start eating meat again.

I just want people's feedback on this.

Omnivores can be so very clever sometimes, can't they? The annoyingly obvious questions, the snide remarks... We all get them from time to time.

So, what has an omnivore said to you?

Not that I want to, but think about this! The horses sent to slaughter are old and need to be put out of their misery. What's next, cows? chickens? Don't let the hippies take over! If they are saying it is "inhumane" to kill a horse it will be the cows and chickens and pigs next. i like my meat!

I'm a vegetarian and I believe that they do. When you cut the head off a fish or steam/boil a crab/lobster or any other sea creature, I think they suffer in some way. What are your thoughts? Feel free to check out my website at http://maketheconnection.co.nr

I'm just curious as to what vegetarians use as their main dish in major dinners, such as holidays, or family gatherings, instead of turkey or ham.

Football, Soccer and Baseball all use animal products for their balls and gloves. Horse racing is very cruel. Aren't these sports immoral? What should vegans do to help remedy the situation?

I know how you guys like to eat meat and everything and that's fine with us. Most of us don't care if you eat meat or not, it's just that some of us think it's barbaric to eat meat, and others of us think meat is too fattening, and we don't eat it. We don't go on the food boards blasting meat eating, so why do you have to come to the veggie boards and try to make an @%$ of yourself on the veggie boards?

I've used netgrocer.com, they don't have a good selection of products I want. Peapod.com won't deliver to my area. I want brands like Amy's, Eden, Annies and a good selection of bread. There is another online grocer I saw once but I forgot what it was. I'm in Texas.

those companies that test make up on animals - do their products also contain animal fats etc and vice versa? I have an issue with both but an even bigger issue with the latter. I am aware that my ex favourite brand (rimmel) tests their products on anilmals but do their goods contain whale fat and other animal by products? I've checked everywhere for this but I think I can't find it because ir's a dumb question maybe. All sensible answers welcome. Thanks!
