Lifeway should have hardback Bibles. However, they only seem to have one version, Holman. I also looked up Augsburg Fortress, the publishing house of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (the church of which I'm a member). They have several versions. Also, bookstores like Barnes and Noble and Boarders should have some as well.
I reccomend a hardback over a paperback. I have some paperback Bibles and some hardback. I even have a leather pocket Bible. It's the New Living Translation. I rescued it from a Dumpster, it what seemed to be new condition. The spine cracked when I opened it. I wasn't sure how "good" the translation was and I had been wanting a pocket sized Bible, so I just kept it instead of giving it as a gift. I wouldn't have bought a leather Bible, though. However, I feel as though keeping it is okay as I did rescue it from being an eternal resident in a landfill. It actually seems to be a pretty decent translation, similar to NIV, but with different wording, sometimes more clear than the NIV, sometimes more well written, for lack of better phrasing. (Seeing that it all comes from the original Greek and Hebrew, just maybe a better translation, which may not be a good phrase either.)
Anyway, my baby is crying and I hope this has been of some help.

you ought to purchase a quite low priced Bible pronounced as the recent American Bible, utilized by utilising the Roman Catholic Church. The old testomony element ought to comprise here books: a million & 2 Maccabees, Judith, Sirach, information, and Tobit. The King James version of the Holy Bible (and the adjustments thereof) is utilized by utilising Protestants.

Any bookshop. Leather bound books are the exception, not the rule.
