Would Jesus have chosen veganism as a chosen way of life?
And/or would he encourage it?

I'm doing my senior project on vegetarianism, and I'm listing the different types. I'm having trouble finding information on some of the types, and each website calls a vegetarian that eats poultry a fake vegetarian or something of the sort. But isn't there an actual name for it?

NoT MEANING this as a rude thing! i really would just like to know your reason why..

ok:

If you are a vegetarian, what are your reasons why you eat stuff that tastes like real meat? You know what i mean..?

Here are my reasons;
1. To help stop craving meat
2. Just another good thing to eat
3. You dont like the animals being hurt, but you like meat, so you eat not-real-meat.

those are my reasons. What are yours?

I asked this question because I was curious, not to be rude.. so if you get the idea im trying to be rude, just tell me.. please.. sorry..

thanks so much!

Do you think most people would stop eating meat and we could finally create the uptopia I have been talking about? Most people are lazy and do not like to cook. So I think we need to start with the resturant industry first. Who agrees?

Okay, I have always been a meat eater. But recently I have been looking up facts on the butchering for the meat and the animal cruelty that they go through. So I no longer wish to eat meat.
Well anyway, I have been eating more carbs i.e. pasta, potatoes, breads, etc. to feel full. But, I am afraid to gain weight and inches. What I do know is that meat can be replaced with mushrooms and soy protein. I am trying to lose weight, around 10 lbs by January. Well here are my questions...

How do I maintain a healthy diet, and lose weight?
How do I handle the carbs thing?
Do you eat alot of carbs?
How do you prepare your meals?
What do you make for breakfast, lunch, and dinner?
What products do you use?
How do you cook soy protein?
What other information can you share with me?

I am a rookie at this so your information is grately appreciated. Worried of eating too many carbs seeing how "thanks giving" is coming very soon.

Please help...

Here's an idea:

If i was raising 2 children, both the same age, health, and genetics, and i raised one on a vegetarian diet, and one on a non-vegetarian diet; What would be the health outcome of the both?

What do studies say? Do vegetarians live longer? Or, are non-vegetarians the healtheir ones?

What is your personal opinion? Would you base your life style upon that opinion?

I have just decided to go vegetarian. I think it will make me feel healthier and I've heard it's good for the environment. I am still planning on eating eggs and dairy but I figure once I'm used to the no meat then I will consider cutting out the eggs and/or dairy. What were your reasons for going vegetarian? Do you feel healthier than you did when you ate meat? I'm thinking it must be good for your heart or something?

I enjoy eating some vegetables but I HATE when they're cooked. It doesn't taste the same and I don't like the mushy feeling in my mouth. I don't even really like them steamed. Of course I cook my corn and potatoes, but everything else must be raw. If not, I cannot eat them. A teacher actually told me that this can sometimes be bad and i've never heard of such a thing... Is this true? I don't think so.

I woke up last week feeling REALLY sick. Then I had breakfast but I wasn't feeling my usual 2 eggs and turkey bacon, so I had a slice of toast and some fruit. But then throughout the day, the thought of eating any meat made my stomach turn so I had vegetables, fruit, and cereal. It's been like 4 days and I haven't had any meat at... The thought of it sort of makes me want to puke and makes my stomach turn. Have I suddenly turned in to a vegetarian or is this just a phase? Anyone went through this before? It's just really weird.

ns, are they being hyprocrites? The "Live and let live" philosophy should apply to plants and trees too right?

Then technically vegetarians should stop eating and using anything made of wood.. even furniture.. Or they should just let the non-veggies be..

What do you guys think??

okay, I have a silly question. For that last several months I have decided to cut out red meat completely. I eat chicken and fish(salmon) instead. I have also noticed an increase of hair loss, and some minor thinning along my scalp. I heard somewhere that if you dont eat red meat you can loose hair permanently, is this true?
