I've always thought that they were because they have the vegan logo on all their products but someone told me that the finished product isn't tested on animals but their ingredients are.

Can something still be labelled as vegan if the ingredients are tested on animals?

at least temporarily. I'm breastfeeding my baby & trying to see if he is not tolerating the cow's milk protein in my milk. Does anyone have any good recipes? (I don't eat tofu)

There is this girl around the High School I go to, and she is REALLY MEAN. I was eating my left over General TSO (It's chinese supper for those who don't know) at lunch hour and she walks up to me and says: "Ugh! Meat eater! You're eating a dead animal! " I mean, I don't go around saying "Veggie eater!" to vegetarians, so why won't she leave me alone? Don't get me wrong, I've met a vegetarian who is really nice, but it's just this girl who is getting on my nerves!! Every time I see her she looks at me all crazy. What should I do?!

I am a vegan, really into nutrition and want to become a registered dietician. but I'm worried that maybe there's no need for dieticians out there because of all the free resources that are available out there and so on. If you guys can please answer my questions, I would love you forever and ever! :)

What kind of dietician are you? Do you like your job?
What do you like about being a dietician and what don't you like? Is there a demand for dieticians or not really? Did you have trouble finding work? What kind of dietician positions are there?

thank you so much...

My 11 yo daughter use to be a big meat eater, but in February we became vegetarians. She was all for not eating animals anymore, but I'm having such a hard time coming up with good healthy nutritious meals for her to eat!

I don't want to feed her pasta 5 days a week and end up with an overweight kid. She only likes broccoli, green beans and brussel sprouts (sometimes). She's not big on salads. Loves eggs and cheese.

I've tried the "fake" crumbled hamburger for tacos and crumbled tofu in spaghetti sauce. Threw it away both times. Blah! She does like the "fake" chicken strips made like a B.B.Q. chicken sandwich, but even the "fake" stuff isn't good all the time.

I've threatened to start feeding her meat again if she doesn't eat veggies because she doesn't eat much at all now. Any suggestions?

And for the smart @sses out there, I do NOT want to start feeding her meat again. Just because you're happy with it, doesn't mean everyone else is.

okay this has been a pretty tough year with my eating habbits-I have acid reflex and quite a few things upset my stomach, i also cut out red meat from my diet, and now i have cut out meat all together. I will not have milk either or eggs...so i am becoming a vegetarian:)

But i have a few questions-
1.should i take calcium supplements?
2.Is there icecream that uses soy milk?
3.and what about cake-is there any cake that doesn't have eggs?

any tips to make the transition are very appreciated:)

By the way-im becoming a vegetarian for animal rights, i dont really like meat anymore, and to change my life style of a more healthful diet

It is very good, not heavy like butter , probably healthier...definitely healthier than "popcorn lung" additives...and not as funky of taste as olive oil warmed up..

I'm hungry and I have no idea what to eat. I need something vegetarian obviously..but vegan is also just as good and welcomed. I'm making stir fry tomarrow..so that's out. I want something preferably that has tofu in it...but what? It doesn't have to have tofu in it. All ideas welcome...execept go eat a steak or something in that nature. I can't think of anything. My mind is blank....what should I eat?
