Please see my question in general food . See how many people spat venom at me!! I was only wondering if they saw the slaughter house conditions and the killing process if they would still eat meat.

When a cow is sent in to be slaughtered for meat, do they throw the skin away or ship that skin to be processed as leather?

If they do send the skin to be processed as leather (as they can't process leather in the same complex where they slaughter the cow for meat, obviously), how do they do it to prevent it from spoiling?

I feel incredible guilty for this and only ever bought free range organic eggs,(that still doesn't alleviate much of the guilt). I got to the point where I was day dreaming about milk and quorn sausages. Sorry Guys and gals! You have every right to hate me!!
I lost 3lb in a week by being a vegan but it didn't carry on. I have lost almost a stone by going back to lacto-ovo and cutting down on bread and hummus.

Okay so I am all for the Ethcial treatment of animals and am glad that there are people like peta trying to stop animal crutley. I just have one problem, I eat meat. I eat very little of it, not like I order a double triple cheese burger, but I do sometimes eat chicken and maybe a hamburger but not everyday-I have to eat some type of meat because of what I need in order to have engery and things like that. so my question is, what do you think. I stand for animal rights, not testing on animals and treating them right, but I do eat meat however I try not to eat factor animals but farm raised animals. I mean I just want some other opions, I can support peta and still eat meat right? I mean I don't get it like its going out of style but I do eat it sometimes.

Ok, so I want to become a vegetarian, but my mom says "you need protein, or you will get sick". Is it true that you need to eat meat to get protein?? Is there any other way I can get protein without eating meat?? Please help because I don't want to hurt the poor, abused animals.
It'a just too sad.

I have just been reunited with a friend I grew up with after 22 years. I have learned that he and his wife are vegan. She was raised one and he has only been one for 3-4 years. If I want to take them out to dinner one evening where can I take them? This is all new to me and I want to respect their beliefs, but it seems very difficult to pick anywhere that would cater to their needs. Any suggestions?

My hubby is a BIG meat eater and I think it would be really easy for me to vegetarian. With that temptation around would it be really hard for me. Also I just found out that I have High Cholesterol and I am only 28. I was thinking this might be a good way to get that down. Any Hints????

Ok, this is an honest question. I want to know honestly, if you are a vegetarian/vegan, do you think others are "bad" for eating meat or do you think it's just a preference?
