Congratulations on your decision. Here's what you need to do:

Get soy milk, rice milk, or almond milk. Experiment to find the brand you like best. If you like yogurt, get Whole Soy & Company; it does have live cultures.

There's vegan ice cream: Purely Decadent, So Delicious, Temptation, Soy Dream, Rice Dream, Tofutti.

Tofutti is a company geared toward the lactose intolerant, and many of their products are accidentally vegan. If you like bagels with cream cheese, get yourself Tofutti's Better Than Cream Cheese.

If you love cheese, try Follow Your Heart or Roads End Chreese sauce mix packets. Most soy cheeses have casein, a milk protein, so watch out.

You can eat sliced bread; just read the ingredients to make sure there's no dairy, eggs, or honey (the latter too often finds its way into whole wheat breads). I don't know about Wonder bread, though, as I try to buy the more natural stuff.

Read labels. You're going to have to do that to ensure you aren't eating what you don't want to. If there's an ingredient you don't understand, like "food glaze," put the product back on the shelf and call/e-mail the company. Many food glazes are insect based--ewwww.

many breads have 'whey' in it which is a milk protein. Many healthy organic breads are vegan friendly. I wish someone had told me not to expect soy cheese to taste like real cheese. There are alternatives for just about everything; soy milk, soy cream cheese, soy sour cream. You will be eating more variety now than as a vegetarian. Get "the complete idiot's guide to vegan living" then check out your library for great cook books. You can do this!
Good luck.

Vegans CAN eat whatever they wish. They CHOOSE to not eat unhealthy products made by cruel indistries. Wonder Bread is one of these, as it contains milk. (Yay for reading labels.) There are many vegan breads to choose from,

Please remember that veganism is a lifestyle, not just what you eat. Vegans don’t wear leather, fur, or wool, buy products from companies that conduct non-required animal toxicity tests:

Or frequent zoos, rodeos, circuses, or other places where animals are held in captivity or forced to perform.

Also, it’s about economics. It doesn’t matter if you give the chicken on your chicken salad to someone else. The restaurant gave you that chicken, and are going to have to buy more to replace it. Economically, you might as well have eaten it.
Congratulations on your decision!

Maybe soybean milk can be a sub for real milk.
It has a lot of vitamins and stuff so I think it's equally as good and tastes better than milk also ;).
Good luck with being a vegan!
