No, I'm about 99.9% sure that it is not vegetarian. The list of ingredients on the side of the can probably list beef, but it is probably a mixture of soy protein flour and finely ground up gristly and fatty beef. While I suppose it would qualify as a meat product, it is not high quality beef at all on the meat scale. That, I think, is why it has such a pasty consistency. There are some Chef Boyardee items that show only pasta and tomato sauce, but even then, I'm not entirely sure that it doesn't have some source of fat or meat-derived product in it. Unless it specifically says it is vegetarian like some of the Campbell's and Progresso soup cans do, then I would not consider this vegetarian or healthy at all. Some kids love this stuff, but I can't eat any of it. Even the stuff without the meat because I think it is made as cheaply as possible, and to me, it just doesn't taste good. I think all of the canned Spaghetti, Ravioli, and all of the pasta products are about as close to canned junk food as you can get. And I tended to burp it over and over again, when I tried to eat it, so I steer clear of this stuff. There are some good fresh pastas that you cook yourself on top of the stove that can usually be found where the refrigerated food items are kept. Some of the fresh pastas just have cheese in them, some have meat, and some have meat and cheese combinations but many of the noodles are made with eggs. However, you have to purchase alfredo or marinara sauce separately. All of the ingredients are listed on the packages, too. They tend to cost considerably more than Chef Boyardee or Spaghettio's cost, but it is well worth it, moneywise and tastewise. So, if you are looking for something vegetarian or vegan, you might want to look at the list of ingredients on packages of dry noodles or go to a quality health food store like Whole Foods Market, which carries only natural, unprocessed food, organic products, and free range meats, poultry, etc. I'm not exactly certain what you are looking for, but trust me, Chef Boyardee products are not vegetarian or healthy in any way. They are simply convenient, quick and easy to heat up, and people that want something quick to feed their kids tend to purchase Chef Boyardee or Spaghettio's. They do not contain good quality ingredients. I hope that this answers the questions you had concerning these products. :)

Nope not vegetarian-even if you're not sure what it is! I used to find Chef Boyardee cheese tortallini which is basically the same as raviolli. I'm pretty sure that's veg if you want to look for something similar.

I gotta tell you ... if no self-respecting meat eater will touch Chef Boyardee canned ravioli with a 10-foot pole ... it certainly is not acceptable for veg*ns.

if it looks like meat, then it is.
Unless it's just cheese inside, then it's not vegetarian, but I haven't seen cheese Chef Boyardee ravioli in the store.
It's probably not vegetarian.

Usually, they have to put on the can exactly what is inside of it. And that would include something like chicken or beef bullion.
Sorry I can't be of more help. Maybe click on their site and find out.
Good luck. God bless.

While it may be a stretch to call that stuff "beef," it's certainly of animal origin. And nasty to boot.
(This is the first of Skully's answers I have ever given a thumbs up to!)
