I want to become a vegatarian but I don't know what to eat! I know, "vegetables" but I want to make something creative. So far I've been eating yogurt, breads, rice, etc.. Any suggestions?

Then why in 2002 did they euthanize 1,325 of the 2,103 animals they "rescued"? That's more than 60%. By those numbers, it dosen't seem like PeTA is very interested in saving animals at all.

I have only been vegan a little over 48 hours now, and I feel great. I am just wondering, besided B12, what are some other things that I should make sure I get enough of that are particularly found in meat? Thank you all for participating!

What is the point of being vegetarian or vegan? I don't see any point in it. I don't understand why it is so bad to eat meat especially animal products.

I'm a vegetarian and to be honest, I do salivate when my mom cooks meat or if I see it somewhere. That doesn't mean I eat it........or want to eat it.... but it's like I'm looking at a sin....very lurring but I control my desires lol.
So I was just wondering, am I the only one that has some weakness some times? Or are you all vegetarians hate meat and hate to look at it or smell it?

I've been eating nothing but fruits/vegetables/rice for the past two weeks. Now I need to know what other food can I try.

What brands of vegan food should I buy?

Thanks

Why do some people say they are vegan when they eat honey? Honey is an animal byproduct and if you eat honey, you are not a vegan. I even know this one lady who has a leather belt hanging in her closet ad she still tries to lie and say she is a vegan.

Why do people say they are something when they are not?

My friend and I are arguing because he tells me that it's unhealthy for me to be a vegetarian, and that our body was designed to eat meat. He told me that our teeth were made for that, and it's UNHEALTHY to be a vegetarian. I believe it's VERY healthy, because I do have get enough protein in my diet, and vitamins. So...anyone have any views on this?
Please tell me:
1) Is being a vegetarian healthy or is it not?
2) Is your body really meant to digest the meat of other animals?
3) Show me your sources, and support this. I need all the facts I can get.

I have been a vegetarian for about two months now, and my mother still has not accepted this. Literally every day, she says something like "You are killing yourself! You know that right?" or "God, you are messing up your body! How am I ever going to send you to college like this? You won't survive!". She has also told me that I am going to die early.

At first she even forced me to eat meat. Some of you may say there is no way she could but trust me, she can... (she did stop this though...)

I have never done anything to provoke this. I do not argue with her.

I want to be a vegan, but she refuses to let me buy soy milk or make my own nut milk. Apparantly "I need my animal protein". According to her and her 'articles' (which she has never shown proof of), there are certain nutrients my body can only use from animal sources. I have calmly tried to show her otherwise, but she won't listen.

I usually listen to her politely or leave the room, but how do you deal with unsupportive parents?

The first thing that comes to mind is rice milk, but is there anything else? What is the most flavorful brand? 8th Continent Vanilla was superb until I discovered an allergy to soy. So, despite my love for all things soy, soy is out. Thanks for all serious suggestions.
