That sounds like a great idea...
As long as you don't make up a batch of 90% cayenne pepper and 10% salt and label it as "Special seasoning shaker salt." lol. they may not be your friend anymore.

It's always a good idea and could start a business if people love it. :-P
Happened before anyway...
However, especially since it's people you barely know, you might want to check with your state first. In some states you can't give away foods, including spice blends & seasonings, unless they're made in a certified (commercial) kitchen. They can't even be stored at home. They have to be stored in the certified kitchen too.

I do that and people love it! I buy the spices at an Indian grocery cheaply and then mix my own blends and use them and give them away too!

Sure. What a wonderful thing to do. And people would appreciate that you've spent the time to think about them in that manner.
You're what God's blessings are truly about-passing them on to others and keeping the spirit of giving alive.
May the good Lord bless you more abundantly. Love, peace and happiness.

Oh so you are nice to some people then? Are they the ones that give in to you forcing your morals on them?
Yeah give them spices, why not? But if I were you I would concentrate my energy on being more accepting towards people with different views than you.

I wouldn't suggest giving spice mixtures to people you don't know well as you have no idea what they like, do they cook, will they know which spices are in it and how to use it??
I love to cook and use many different spices and herbs, but some flavors I don't like.

We do things like that every year, but it's usually to people we know, not passing acquaintance. Course, passing acquaintances do not get presents from us either.
I've made Kahlua, peach brandy, assorted jellies (one friend still begs for my red hot pepper jelly), breads, and this year we will be giving away honey from our beehives.
