I use Tresemme, which isn't tested on animals. You can check the shampoo bottle, and if they are not tested on animals they will say so - usually on the back/bottom. I believe VO5 isn't tested. Mary Kay products are not tested on animals, but you have to get them from someone who sells Mary Kay. Also Bath and Body Works does not test. Their hair products can be pricey, but sometimes you can find them on sale.

I believe PETA's web site has a list of companies are cruelty-free.

If you do not find what you are looking for and you do not already have an Arbonne consultant, I would encourage you to check out the Arbonne Intelligence Hair Care. Arbonne never tests on Animals and is certified Vegan I love the shampoo and conditioner. If you would like to look at the products closer you can go to www.thewayback.myarbonne.com and look under shop online. Go to hair and click

J/A/S/O/N makes some good cruelty-free products and may be at your local drugstore. Nature's Gate is also good. I know both are carried at Whole Foods.

In addition to the animal testing, we should watch for propylene glycol, all petroleum products, mineral oils, SLS's etc. Check out your health food store, they're not as much as you think they are. We drop a $five$ for a cup of starbucks, but worry about a dollar more or so for a good natural personal care product, go figure. ;) Stay away from the big name brands, don't give those companies your hard earned money...
Good luck dear...

Nature's Gate or Beauty without Cruelty. If you don't have a Wild Oats, Whole Foods or other organic market, you can get them from VitaminShoppe.com - sign up at ebates.com and link through there and you'll get a % rebate.

Aussie products are ALL cruelty free. And they are the BEST... and won't kill your budget either!
