I do too - especially my family. They have a lot of health problems and I think that if they eliminated meat they'd feel much better.
I truly think that their meat-based diet is killing them (collectively, they suffer from: diabetes, obesity, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, heart murmer, etc.).

I'd just like to point out that eating meat alone is not related to diabetes, hypertension, and heart disease. Becoming a vegetarian will not save you from these problems. All these medical conditions can be related to the obesity epidemic in the country, not to mention that genetics will play a role. Eating meat does not mean you'll be obese just as being vegetarian doesn't mean you'll be skinny! I've seen plenty of overweight vegetarians in my day who also suffer from diabetes, hypertension, strokes, heart attacks, etc.
In fact we had a vegan patient on my floor the other day and I had to get a dietary consult for her. The dietition was struggling to find dietary options for her because she was so sick and didn't want to eat much anyway. Do you know what ailments she had?? Coronary artery disease, hypertension, and colon cancer! Yes, a VEGAN had these problems.
I have an aunt who used to be vegetarian but she was about 40lbs overweight. She was told her cholesterol was high and she was borderline diabetic. She decided to add a little chicken and fish into her diet, along with exercise. Now she is 30lbs slimmer and her health problems have improved. This goes to show eating meat is perfectly healthy when combined with portion control and exercise.
I feel sorry for vegetarians who think their lifestyle will save them from diabetes and heart disease, when these problems clearly have strong genetic influences as well. I will continue to enjoy my lean meats in the correct portion sizes, and I'm not overweight by the way. Heart attacks run in my family, so even if I eat healthy and exercise all my life I may still have heart problems because my genes made me that way.

I do if they don't fully understand the process of putting a burger on their plate and how it got there. If they know the cruelty of slaughterhouses and still choose to eat - they are really sad then

Only if they get mad cow disease.
I do, however, pity them. It's not like the days of old where you had to hunt to survive. And eating meat is pretty gross if you think about it, isn't it?

No, especially the ones that tell me how unhealthy I am and how healthy they are. They will be on bloodpressure meds. before it's over and they can feel sorry for themselves.
