I recently moved to New Jersey after living 10 years in Colorado... There's slim pickins out here for Mexican food... I'm forced to cook my own.

I perfer chicken, but if anyone knows how to make the patato burrito from "Big City Burrito" I really want to know that! Or if you can provide me with how they make Chipolte burritos.

My sister wants me to join her at a craft fair next Christmas season, and I thought I might sew some aprons- they're pretty simple. But my mom said she doesn't think many people wear aprons anymore.

What do you think?

Do you have any other cooking related items I could craft for a craft fair? Thanks~

My wife thinks the eggs I scramble for her aren't fluffy. She says her grandmother used to make "fluffy eggs." I use two eggs, a tablespoon of milk, a pinch of salt and beat them mercilessly in the bowl and then continue to beat them in the pan until they are thoroughly cooked.

What am I not doing? Anyone have any ideas or suggestions?

I live at high altitude (8500 ft.), which makes it harder to cook anyway. My husband loves snickerdoodles, and since I've moved here, I haven't been able to make them soft and chewy. Any advice would be much appreciated!

My husband's grandmother used to make a cookie that had anais in it and was shaped like a walnut sized ball and rolled in cinnamon and powdered sugar. He calles them panne de polvos. They are "melt in your mouth good"!!! I would love to find the recipe and surprise him with them this Christmas.

I am trying to make tamales for the first time. I read some recipes online but I bought a pork roast with the done in by accident. I should have boughtt he pork loin from what I've read.
Can I use it and just peel off the meat? I'm using the pressure cooker to get the meat tender and then put in the sauce to marinate. I have the masa.

Does it sound ok? any other thoughts?

thanks

I am looking for a wooden spoon like the one Rachel Ray uses on her cooking show. My aunt is in love with that spoon and I want to be able to get her one like it for Christmas...at a reasonable price of course; I still need to put gas in my car after Christmas. :)
